I had a 2 year contract that ended in Janurary 2014, I went in late that month to cancel and they said I would be charged for Feburary since I was cancelling late in the month...Fine.. A month goes by and I get charged for March...then April... then May... Then I went in to the Davie and Howe location to clear this through, no one there was able to help me but only say to maybe try emailing or come another day when the manager is in. I emailed and got a reply saying that she had cancelled my contract then.... But I had already gotten my Card taken away and told it would be cancelled end of Feburary. Just checked my bank records and I was just charged for the month of June... I have called head office got no answer and left a lengthy message with 3 days passing no reply. Getting very frustrated with this whole situation and want my money back.

Cant fault the place, went in last week and the general manager greeted me and I was shown around their impressive set up. clean , friendly and all the costs were described to me in detail! I wish they had a bigger stretch area, but have had no issues with it so far.

I want to rate this gym no star. They are totally unorganized, no rule, no nothing. Gives junk promotions ie buy 12 training sessions or 24 sessions get ipod. Two of my friends purchased 24 sessions and never got their ipod. They were asked to call some kind of "manager" and that person never picked up her phone. I purchased 12, the trainer didnt even mention the ipod promotion. I have so much to say about their personal trainers. The ones I used are totally useless. First one I tried just made me speechless. She was always chatting, SO chill not even trying to push me, I mean what is the point of me paying you? I asked her how to get rid of the fat on this certain area and she looked at me and laughed, she said you dont have fat there. Whaaaaat?... I dont want a trainer who cant even SEE their client's need. Second one I tried seemed ok at first. But when I asked her, how to make the muscles lean not bulky, she said there is no way to make the muscles lean. Muscles will only get bigger. If you dont like how it's getting bigger, then you should avoid working on that part. Whereee did you get your education?.. She said she wont make my muscles bulky and guess what happened.. After more than 2 months of training I cant even wear my jeans. I grew bigger in size. THIS is ridiculous. And I have to mention, they are so chill when they work out with you, but they get SO pushy when you are about to use up your training sessions. I dont know how many times do I have to tell her I dont want to buy more. She just keeps emailing me and texting me about how she thinks I should continue. The more sessions you buy the cheaper one session is. But she said to me: you can even get 6 if you dont want to buy so many". WHAAAAT?.. I dont even care about the remaining sessions I have, I just dont want to see that trainer ever again.. She gives me such a hard time. Going there is A WASTE OF TIME. Last thing I want to say is their products. DO NOT TAKE THEIR PROTEIN BARS OR SHAKE. If you check their ingredient section, you'll see that their cholesterol is ridiculously HIGH. Just compare it with any other protein product. I simply dont know what to say about their junk products that they ask their customers to buy. I recently found a private personal trainer and just realized how foolish I was to spend my money on those guys. I will definitely not recommend anyone to go to this gym.

Most of their gyms are nice enough to look at, but, paraphrasing the old saying, you can't save a sh*tty painting with a good frame. There are a number of hidden fees that they do not tell you about, like a yearly fee on top of the ridiculous $35/mo basic membership fee, and most people who work at the desk are completely unhelpful & rude when you come to them with an issue. Also, i worked out at one of the gyms around 3x /week for a number of months, and I swear one of the machines was "out of order" for almost as long as I was a member. The roof of the men's change room leaked, so there was always a pool of water on the ground & ceiling tiles missing from the roof. Overall, you'd be much better off at another gym that charges you a reasonable amount & doesn't lie to you when you first sign up.
