Sportsplex Bethel

This place is awsome. I recently moved to the New Fairfield, CT area and was in search of a gym. I tried others in the New Fairfied/Danbury area. They never had everything I was looking for under one roof. The staff (Sandra) was so helpful in helping me find the right membership for me. I love the variety of the classes and the fact that I find myself NEVER having to wait for any equipment. The locker rooms are super clean at all times. I have to say it's been an overall great experience.
I just recently joined this gym and moved to the area from Westchester County. For what they offer, I find the rates reasonable in comparison with their competitors. It's not as upscale as "Equinox" but not a "meat/meet market" like Bailey's either.Classes for me are HUGE..and their classes don't disappoint. Nick's classes are by far, my favorites-he's amazing. I love being pushed past my "comfort zone" and he never disappoints. Lia, the membership director, was friendly, helpful and accomodating. The gym is clean (Ok-not immaculate-but clean) and there is always equipment available. The parking lot leaves a bit to be desired and I wish I would've been given a thorough introduction to all the equipment & weight machines.. but the pros of this facility outweigh the cons. Overall, thus far I'm more than satisfied with my experience...Update: now that I've been going a few months, I will say I always feel like the "outsider" walking in (and I'm super friendly). It seems as if most who are members either have been going a long time or are just from the area, so everyone knows eachother..but that said, give it a shot-they offer a 5 day free trial!
This place has good equipment but is not worth the price. If your serious about lifing weights this place probably won't be for you. There hours are terrible and any oppurtunty to close for a holiday will be taken. Ive been to gyms twice this size for a third of the price. Steer clear unless prices get lowered
It gets real crowded at rush hour.TVs on many cardio machines are often broken and at all major holidays, it is super crowded and is a pick up joint for the local college kids that come home and get free passes from their parents! equipment is new, staff is great, parking is a pain at times.
Expensive and Worthless
