I've been working out here for over a year and I will continue to renew my membership. It's a fantastic place to either work out on your own like I do, or take classes like some of my friends do. The staff is always friendly and polite to me, I've never had any kind of issue here.
I usually enjoy going to the YMCA but today there was a complete lack of customer service. As I entered, I stood in what I thought was a line. It was just the girl behind the counter talking to her 2 friends. I thought I had to check in with the front desk as the last few occassions the keypad to sign in was unavailable. I saw the keypad on the table and actually had to reach past one of the friends in order to get it! He didn't move. There were no spray bottles. I figured I would ask the front desk for a bottle once the conversation ended. 40, yes, 40 minutes later, they were still talking. As I left, two other women did what I did. Stood there thinking it was a line. They signed in and had to excuse themselves past the friends of the worker at the front desk. Instead of greeting these new customers, she was showing her friends pictures on her phone. Usually it is a good experience but more instances of this and I will be looking for another gym.
I personally think the YMCA of Moose Jaw is a great place. I've never had any problems with the facility or the staff.
The YMCA of Moose Jaw is always open early which is great for me because I can get in before work and use the machines I need to use for that day. Very nice place.
I've been going to the YMCA of Moose Jaw for about a year and a half now and the staff is always very polite whenever you walk in.
