Gold's Gym
Reviews
Large gym floor with a distinct separation between machines and free weights. Nice running track inside that went around the facility. Members were all friendly and staff helpful. Enough weight for the serious lifter. Day pass $10.
This review is sent under my wife's name due to some Google issues, but the review is mine. I joined Gold's this past February and it has been a very positive experience for me; all the staff has been friendly and accommodating. Both Brett Roney and Austin Franklin have been very helpful in providing good fitness advice for all types of fitness goals (endurance, strength, etc.) and in explaining the use of the equipment. I did not sign any contract with Gold's Gym, and I was paying month by month, I stopped attending the gym when they started taking money from my bank account without my authorization, I asked Vanessa the manager to give me "the supposed" contract, she NEVER provided me with anything. I called several times to corporate and they did not want to help me at all. This has been the worst customer service experience with charges that I did not authorized. Be careful!!!!!!
I've been a member of this gym for several years after trying Powerhouse and Planet Fitness. This is the best gym, hands down! The equipment is great, place clean, and staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The person at the front, especially Justin, always welcomes you with a smile and encouraging words to start working out.
I have been meeting with Barbara Tumm for over a year. She gives me a new program each month. I originally got with a trainer because I had issues with my thyroid and I needed help managing my weight. Barbara is thorough in that she is aware of my actual potential level. She challenges me. She asks for feedback. She is encouraging. She notices when I have not been as regular and mentions it for accountability. And she is simply a delightful person! - Mrs. Alan Wood
