The staff really sucks at this location. If they're not pretending to be a personal trainer to some old lady, they have their nose buried in their phone. The equipment is nice and there is plenty to choose from and the bathroom facilities are ok, nothing special. Over all this is an OK gym, just don't expect anything from the staff.
Watch out on cancelations. I was told over the phone it was taken care of. 3 months later when I realized I was still being charged, I called up only to be told that the only way to cancel is via U.S. mail. They can email the cancelation letter, but you have to print it and put it in the mail box. That's right the branches have managed to utilize email but corporate has not. hmm... I'd pay an honest business more to not get jerked around and have my intelligence insulted. I believe that these business tactics speak to a certain mentality I'd rather avoid.
They have a clean gym. Nice free weight area. Compared to the Y down the street the equipment here is much newer and nicer and there is more of it. Im military and live too far from the base to frequent the gym on base so this is a great alternative being only 5 minutes away.
I tried this gym out last night at the request of my son (who works there). Afterwards, he was let go because they claimed he was training me... which is a stupid way to sell your establishment to family members. That being said... This place is the worst gym I have ever been to. The entire cardio area can be seen through the front windows. There is no privacy. The machines are almost stacked on top of each other. The personal trainers do not know what they are doing as they are not focusing on proper form and will eventually hurt someone. The managers seem more interested in their personal relationships than with the operations of the facility, which needs hygene products to clean the fitness equipment after a workout. Overall, its obvious why the club was only 10% full. I would not recommend this site to anyone. For the same price, you can get a membership to the YMCA and have access to many more training options... including a pool (critical in the summertime).
If you enjoy doing your cardio to the "Bravo" or "E" channel, this is your place. Or if you enjoy the free weights and people not racking their weights, this is also a place for you. Staff just seems unfriendly. And God forbid you forget your key tag and they have to type in your phone number
