Iv'e never had any issues and enjoy the gym, yes the front desk girls can be snobby but it doesn't bother me at all considering the fact that they are not my focus. Besides that my membership guy Durell was awsome and very helpful. They do need to update some of their equipment.

I have been a member at almost any gym you can name around the country. I travel and usually get a membership to the gym closest to my hotel or wherever I am staying for that time period. My first issues with LA Fitness arose when I was in Indianapolis for a few months. After that experience I vowed I'd never go back. Unfortunately, I moved to California recently and LA Fitness is the closest gym to me. It has been 5+ years so I decided to give it another shot. As I feared, it is quite possibly one of the worst gyms I have ever been a member of SINCE being of member of the one in Indianapolis. It's sad to say that even the Planet Fitness in North Charleston, SC is better. On top of having to go on a quest every time I need clips, they have a HUGE facility and don't even have a lot of very basic equipment. 10 benches but 1 preacher bar? 10 benches but only 4 sets of clips? Buy clips!? I won't get started on the list of equipment they lack, that's not why I'm here. I'm completely dumbfounded by how horrible this gym is overall. You need to be in the right mindset to exercise and stick to a regimen. It's hard when you barely like going into the environment. 1 Star for completely logical reasons and 1 Star when set side by side with most gyms in the same price range. I could say a lot more but I'm not here to complain, I'm here to save you time and help you make the right choice.

They start you off with a really high initiation fee, then bring it down. Even their deals to get you in are bogus. If you're not a member, you don't belong there. They're strict about that. I like that they have a pool & jacuzzi but they don't offer you towels, you have to bring your own. The hours of operation can suck at times. I like this place because it's a gym but for $35 they def don't do much for you.. I had one card on file for payments, ended up getting rid of it & they took their Bill out of my bank account. I used to not be a member & won't be for much longer. It's pretty Overrated even with 3 Stars. This LA gym is ran differently than any others. Also, I had a friend that worked here. Everytime I came, he was bustin his ass all over the gym making sure things were in order. He ended up getting Fired cause he wasn't selling enough Memberships.. But when I went in today, they were sooo crowded. They just want more money. Pretty greedy.

i did not enjoy my 3 month membership. rude staff they purposely make my check in hectic by asking dumb question about my residence and etc. most gyms don't have a problem were you reside but the one here at lake elsinore tried almost every time i went to enforce this bogus policy. my parents came once as a guest and denied them because they were from out of town. sad because all the other la fitness gym allowed my guest to enter. its either they really follow everything by the books or that they find this policy convenient to them every time i go there? idk but I'm glad i canceled my membership there never ever will i sign up with this place again.

The gym is big and the staff is nice, however, I noticed that the equipment should be a lot cleaner. I find myself getting sick often when I go, because sick people come to soak in the hot tub. Can't sick people stay home and soak in their tub or take a hot shower instead of coming out in public to get everyone sick at the gym? My last visit I had a few minutes to relax in the hot tub alone, it was nice & quiet, when two young guys came in and turned on their stereo playing some kind of gangster rap. Motherf*** , bitch and eff this and eff that, loud enough to echo through the whole pool area. I asked them if they could turn it off and they responded with a bad attitude like I'm inconveniencing them. In 24 hours, these guys can't find another time to listen to their "music", so they must contaminate the air space with it at the gym when other people try to relax after a workout? If everyone brought their own music and played it loud it would be a mad house. Well, I'm cancelling my membership. It's just nicer to take the dog for a walk.
