shady shady shady!! they took so much from me in hidden fees and I'm just a college student so I really didn't need that. it's tough enough without shady businessess like this!! i wish the mall just got rid of this place already
I would reccomend this to anyone, the prices are reasonable and they give you a cash check to help you with the startup cost and they give you the same to pass to your friends. The staff is very friendly and you forget your working out because they make it like a hangout/friend zone. Their there if you need anything and need help with the equipment and all the staff knows everyone(even the personal trainers).. Now the personal trainers on the other hand are also fabulous, they dont push you past your limits and the price plans for those are incredible. Over all its been a great experience and feel most comfortable there compared to other gym. overall i love the staff there(amber, manager jonathan, peter, personal trainers ginna, christopher and toni and valerie).
BEWARE: Hidden fees, horrible customer service, and shady employees! With the exception of 1 or 2 employees, the entire staff is rude, condescending and uninterested in the customer. I warn you of their "Great Entry-level Rates!" because they refrain from informing you of hidden quarterly rates ($11 on top of your monthly fee) and make it VERY DIFFICULT to cancel your membership. You are required to write the corporate office a letter in order to cancel your membership (via snail mail, so you can't cancel for weeks). The establishment will THROW OUT any item left overnight, even IF you call in and ask them to put it aside from you. Again, they do not tell you the policy and go ahead and throw it out, anyways. No matter how valuable, if you leave something there, consider it GONE. Staff at front desk is not interested in anything besides getting you to pay for more packages and sucker your friends into joining this lousy gym. Never any assistance with membership inquires or friendly greetings, just all rude business tactics that make you feel like a sucker for joining this horribly maintained gym. Weights are left lying around throughout the day and staff never does a go-around to tidy-up the place - it's a mess. Bring a towel, because they rarely sanitize the equipment. One good aspect: friendly custodial staff! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
While they kind of provide the most basic necessities of fitness, barely enough treadmills, the dumbbells are usually all being used, and classes that look more boring than drying paint, I guess it's something. They will hook you into a 1 year contract that includes hidden fees. Don't even try to think of cancelling your membership, they'll ding your social security number so your credit rating drops. They may tell you that you can cancel it anytime, but their sales people will lie to your face. Recently I was charged a $9 "quarterly fee" in addition to the membership cost... this gym is looking for every opportunity to take your money, so unless you like being pickpocketed, I suggest a better gym.
Before you go into this gym, beware! They will say anything to get you to sign a contract with them. To cancel you must submit a WRITTEN request, and you have to give 30 days notice or they will charge you again. The free weights are always scattered around and disorganized. The staff is not friendly or helpful. Definitely the shadiest gym I've ever been to.
