Max Fitness Express

I have used this fitness center for the week visiting my in laws. It's $25 for a week, and it covers everything I need to do as far as getting my workouts in. Glad it is here.
I went there on a free pass and it is a nice gym. However I declined to become a full time member because of their sketchy fees. A lot of these reviews are spot on about their hidden fees and such. You have to sign a contract and can't just pay for so many months. When I inquired about cancellation fees the woman I spoke too at first acted unsure about it and then said there probably was. She also said to cancel your membership you have to submit a form somewhere and have them process it. Bottom line its a nice gym but be wary of their fees and policies.
If you want to swim, play racquetball, basketball, or do some of the group classes, this isn't the gym for you. If you just want some cardio and weight training this gym has it in spades. They have a huge selection of machines and weights. I've never had the problem of not getting on a machine or using a weight because someone else was using it. I was a member of YMCA. I had the company discount which makes it $29 a month. There wasn't a joining fee that I remember of there. At max fitness they had a small joining fee $9.95 and a yearly maintenance fee of $35, this in addition to the monthly 9.95 makes the yearly bill average out to around $14 a month. This is half of my YMCA membership. I think this is a good value if you just want weights and cardio. I'd recommend waiting for their specials. I joined at a time when they lowered the joining fee. I've also heard that they have specials like unlimited guest passes. So you'll get your best price if you are patient.
Joined a couple months back... paid $300 up front (with NO extra fees) for 24mo full access to all amenities plus unlimited guess pass. Tons of cardio equipment and resistance training machinery. Plenty of free weights as well. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
Great workouts come out of this place if only this place could he expanded a bit
