If you are looking for a program which can offer life changing results, Fit2Live is the place to go in Iowa City. The workouts are challenging, intense and efficient. The workouts accomplish in 45 minutes what would take me 90 or 120 minutes if I was doing a workout on my own in your standard gym. The trainers are not in your face drill instructors but positive and demanding. The trainers push and encourage each person to exceed their own expectations which enables you to continue to meet your goals. I started working out at Fit2Live in October 2008 and attain results quickly.
I thought I was fit until I started coming to Fit2Live. I took advantage of the first free workout of the day, and I thought I was going to pass out. I knew then that this would be something that would benefit me, and in the year since then, I have never finished a workout feeling like I haven't been challenged. The workouts are conducive to pushing yourself: lift just a little more weight, go just a little bit faster, do just a little bit better than last time. The class format also helps you push yourself: if someone next to you isn't quitting, isn't slowing down, you don't want to either. It's a little like each member of the gym is a member of your workout team, and they are all interested in helping you succeed, no matter what your fitness level. I've lost 6% body fat, dropped a size, am developing muscle definition I never thought I'd have, and feel fantastic. The conventional wisdom is that losing weight and getting in shape takes a lifestyle change, and Fit2Live is the embodiment of that philosophy. This is not a gym that you will go to for a while and then quit. This is a gym that you will look forward to going to, if only to find out just how much further you can challenge yourself today.
I have only the greatest things to say about Fit2Live gym. The atmosphere and people are great, workouts are always challenging, and the staff is very helpful and encouraging. Since I joined the Crossfit program earlier this year, I have lost over 3% body fat, 6 lbs of body fat, 8.5 total inches and feel great! I highly recommend this gym to anyone, of any fitness level!
I was introduced to Fit2Live in July 2009. I knew from the moment I walked through the door that this was going to be a great place to work out and then after a free trial, I was hooked. The greatest thing about Fit2Live is Matt, Stephanie, and the rest of the trainers. I had never worked out with a trainer, and frankly I didn’t think I needed to. The trainers are always with you, coaching and pushing you to succeed in the workout. The exercises at Fit2Live are functional, scalable, fun, and enhance all other activities/sports you like to do. I am in better shape right now than I have ever been. The other members are a blast to be around and everyone pushes and encourages everyone else. We all really look forward to the workout of the day and will do all that we can not to miss it! If you need any further information, I am always there at 6:30 am Monday through Friday. Come join me.
I have been a member at Fit2Live for one year and love everything about it. The trainers are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and the works outs are challenging but modifiable to all levels. Over the past year I have increased my endurance and improved my overall health while loosing inches and body fat. I only have time to visit the gym 3 days a week but have still managed to achieve noticeable results because of the unique approach Fit2Live takes with fitness. I highly recommend Fit2Live.
