Cardinal Fitness

I have been going to this gym for over a year. There is a monthly fee and an annual membership fee. I just paid my annual membership fee about a month ago. - Today, my gym gave me 8 days notice that they are moving to a new location 5 miles away. I asked for a refund of the membership fee since I just paid it and will no longer be a member. They said "no, we don't do that." No? They are the ones breaking the contract, not me! Additionally since Cardinal Fitness requires 30 days notice to cancel, I will have to pay April fees to a gym that is moving 5 miles away from me. Is that fair? This is a classic case of the big corporation stomping on the little guy because they can. My advice in looking for a business is to find one that has ethics. This one does not.
This place is cheap and straight forward, nothing special. I like the hours, and the staff is alway polite. There are no classes, sauna or pool. There is a decent selection of weights, I go in the morning before 7am and I never have any trouble getting to machines or weights. worth the $10 a month. Oh, parking can be a pain at times, especially winter months, there is lot next to it which I believe is $2.
robert is the best trainers in the west loop! i literally transformed over a summer! great place to get into peek shape!
Friendly staff. The equipment is a little worn but exceeds the $10/month expectation.
Put simply, it's all you need to get a good workout. It gives an atmosphere where you want to work out and do your best, and there's almost always space on a machine or a cardio treadmill if you need it. Never have I had to wait for one, though it also depends on what type of workout you like to do and when you come. It has great hours for people who are busy like myself and even better prices for someone who wants to work out with a small budget. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to git 'er' done!
