Wow...all I can say is wow!! If you ever make it to Indiana and you are a basketball fan, you must see this place. It has an amazing atmosphere! Even though the movie itself is fiction, there is just something about this building. I got chills when I walked in the front door. Mitch, our tour guide, was very welcoming and informative. He's the best! I got to share this visit with my family which made it all the more special. We ended up going to a few other sites used in the movie and even watched the movie on our way home. It was an unbelievable visit to a magical place. Just plain awesome!!
If you love Indiana basketball and have a sentimental place in your soul for Indiana basketball; YOU WILL LOVE the feeling you will have visiting this gym. it was AWESOME! It is an honor to have played there around a half century ago. At least I think that I played . . . I know that I dressed!
If you are in Southern Indiana you MUST make a trip to the Hoosier Gym. I had a great time taking the tour there last fall and can't wait to make another trip in the future.
