As a member/visitor to most of the gyms in the southern Maryland area at one point in time, I can honestly say that this is the worst facility around. The staff do not foster an environment in which everyone feels welcome and the facilities were not clean. The employees hardly greeted me and were not helpful at all with any type of question I may have had. I was wrongfully charged for a gym membership that I cancelled a long time ago and the staff had no sympathy what so ever because the paperwork wasn't filed correctly on their end. I had a witness go in with me to cancel my membership. My bank statements also show that as soon as I transferred to the Mechanicsville World Gym (great gym by the way) that I had not stepped foot in the Leonardtown gym. I had not accrued any type of damage to their facilities and I had not taken up any gym space for that amount of time, but they did not care. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking to better their life mentally and physically because they don't make you feel welcome. Once they get your signature you are a long term pay check - nothing else. I was in the wrong for not checking my bank statements thoroughly enough to follow up on THEIR mistake, but they are entirely unethical. Drive the extra mileage to a gym where all of the staff knows your name and are happy to assist you in anyway - the Mechanicsville World Gym.
My experience with the classes which are included with the membership are amazing. The classes is where it is at to meet your realistic goals in check with your body wellness.
