I joined the SAC in September 2011. We attended regularly, 5-6 days per week. The gym is not overly busy, many times my fiance and I were the only ones there. They have a decent amount of machines to work on and I was given a free personal training session a few weeks into our membership. Ryan McGraw, the owner/operator, was nice and spoke to us often... at first. After attending regularly for 4 or 5 months, Ryan became a very different person, ignoring us, making snotty comments which made me very uncomfortable. I mentioned his change in attitude to one of his staff members one day and they seemed very hesitant to continue the conversation. Shortly afterward, I received an email from Ryan telling me if I "had a problem to talk to him about it". Which I did, but the situation got worse. He continued to be rude, and be very "pompous" toward me and my fiance. Because of this, I have stopped attending the SAC. Since then, I have been told things that he and one of his staff members have said about me around town and it is rude and hurtful. I trusted that by paying a monthly fee and becoming a member of the SAC, I would be in a judgment free place and that I would be respected as a member. My advice is to steer clear of this place and join a gym where you are treated with respect, your membership is valued and they honestly care about your progress.
