NEVER a wait on all new STATE OF the ART EQUIPMENT KID FRIENDLY . VERY SPACIOUS LAY OUT FULL OLYMPIC SIZED SWIMMING POOL with SPA the smaller cheaper gyms are over crowded and filthy and often go out of buisiness you pay less because it is worth less !

There are two managers. A young man in the mornings and a young woman in the evenings. Both will lie straight to everyone and anyone. They lie to potential members to lure them in and to existing members to keep them joined. They will promise anything to anyone, then do absolutely nothing. The gym is chaotic, it's like a ghetto where the hoodlums members run lose to dictate over the gym resources. The staff (males) are gang members. The owner is absentee and his changing polices are rarely something that benefit the members. The pool is too crowded, some of the members are extremely rude and selfish. The hot tub is often filthy, and unfortunately a asian female of even average appearance cannot get in with out a perverted elderly white gentlemen harassing her. I wouldn't say it's racism, but a unhealthy fetish. If something breaks, it often takes weeks if not months before it is repaired. The membership has dwindled into senior citizens that live in the adjacent apartment (free membership) and a few middle age people. And there seems to be a unnatural hatred of children by the senior white members. The children are the only people that bring life into this mortuary. These same senior citizens also tend to fight with people for no reason.

If you ever get a membership in this place and then try to cancel, due to say, moving out of the area, get ready for an adventure. After being a member for over a year and fulfilling my contractual obligations with this place, they would not cancel my membership no matter how many times I have called. Even after being assured by the member of staff, Mark, that I will no longer see charges on my credit card I discovered that my card was charged yet again, this month. Finally, after a number of phone calls that were never returned, I got through to a manager Steven, that informed me they expect me to show up in person(though I now live in a different state 2 hours away) in order to cancel this membership. Interesting enough nobody made me aware of this "policy" during several cancellation attempt phone calls when I was still in the area. Also, there seems to be a case of selective amnesia when it comes to discussing membership cancellation. Now that's an outstanding way to not loose your customers, pretend it never happened!!!. Thinking of hiring a legal counsel while waiting for yet another call back from this horrid place.

The people in the Management are very rude, nasty and non professional. None of the members respect them. Everything they tell you are lies. The gym is not worth a cent.

They don't care about the members, instructors or personal trainers. Most of the instructors and personal trainers were thrown out (some with police) or forced to quit. The members are encouraged to do the same if they don't like how the place is run. The classes are constantly canceled, never are substituted; and the members are not notified. In addition to this chaos everything works extremely badly after so called renovation: the sauna is cold, so people stopped using it; the water in the showers is barely dripping, so people stopped using showers and spa facilities. The management is so cheap and mistrustful that they charge $1 deposit for the towels (who would take their cheap towels anyway) A lot of members are switching to other gyms even though they still have months to go on their membership. All the clubs in the area are giving discounts to former members of Palisadium. Don't ever apply for Palisadium membership if you don't want to loose your money and to be treated as dirt. Sasha
