The gym is great. Their billing service is awful. I have a membership on freeze because I have to pay $150 to cancel even though I've moved all the way to Florida. And then I still have to pay a $50 annual fee even though my membership is on freeze and I'm not using the gym. And then instead of contacting me because the annual fee didn't process (for whatever reason) they bill me for a $30 returned payment fee causing an overdraft fee of $34. In a nutshell, I'm trying to freeze my membership because I'm stuck in a membership and 1200 miles away. And I'm paying over $100 this month because their billing service can't give me a phone call. And don't bother calling the physical gym. They'll just refer you to their billing service that is only open during normal business hours... when the rest of us are working.
Broken machines, over crowded, now 19.99 a month. However I'm stuck paying 69.99 a month for my membership. I joined NYSC to avoid the rif raf . . . now they are actively targeting them. Sadly it's really the only game in town with the closing of several other gyms. I do get a kick out of the severely out of shape trainers though. . .
It's a great space, in a nice location, but they don't maintain the equipment as they should. One big con is the stinking smell of sewer around the free weight area. Still, it is one of my favorite NYSC locations in NY/NJ
Terrible management Members of the hoboken area are inmature as well as judgmental Equipment that has been broken for MONTHS.. When you try to speak with management regarding an issue, they tell you that everything is done through corporate or when you try to cancel or try to get answers about your charges..
Terrible gym. The trainers do nothing all day and the management is nonexistent. The customer service is terrible and if there are any issues they tell you to "go through corporate."
