Life Quest Swim & Fittness
Reviews
Large facility, helpful staff and plenty of membership options for out of town guests. I have really enjoyed this club over the few years I have been a member. They have a few punching bags that i found a great asset to my fitness goals. which were to gain speed and endurance . they offered me a free personal trainer when i joined which i thought was cool. overall i'd give it 5 stars , they are open on weekends and they are close as well which is a good thing
While Margie Pettersen had a point 9 months ago about the facility, in the last 4 months there have been some changes and put into the right hands and are taking actions. The facility is considerably cleaner than it was and machines have been fixed and rearranged to where the facility is more user friendly. Great work by the staff! Where it was "going down the tubes", it's crawling back up the tubes. If you want to go swimming then go to the aquatics center, I can't argue with their pool, but they CANNOT compete with the gym LifeQuest has. I have been working out for 30 years and I can say LifeQuest IS the most complete facility there is and I've been in gyms all over North America. They have 2 lines of selectorized equipment. 2 sets of dumbbells that go to 120lbs. 2 smith machines. 2 multi-purpose stations. Hammer Strength equipment, and the most complete line of leg equipment I've ever seen. Come in and look at it. You WILL be impressed!
I've been going to this gym for the last two years and it has been steadily going downhill. The management is not receptive to input from members. The place is not clean, the equipment is old and many pieces are "out of order" and not fixed (particularly the spin bikes). A few of the instructors are unprofessional. I nearly quit this gym when my membership needed to be renewed but it stayed with it since it is so close to where I live. If you are considering a gym and willing to travel a bit farther, I'd suggest the North Myrtle Beach aquatic center. I can't imagine this gym staying in business much longer. It is really "going down the tubes."
Really nice club people are nice great if you like weightlifting. Punch card membership option is really good
