This Fitness Center is an excellent center in the fact it offers an indoor track, swimming pool, gymnasium with two full sized basketball courts, and a weight/cardio room. Although all these amenities are offered here, the scheduling conflicts greatly affect your ability to work out. All college sports at Black Hills State University use this facility and block times from 3:00pm to 7:00pm for every area (track, gym, weight room)....and on top of that Wellness classes that the students are required to take run daily from 8am to 2pm...which also blocks any use of the weight/cardio room. The swimming pool is NOT open all day, it has limited hours...2 in the early morning, 1 hour at noon, and 2 in the evening..making the reason for having a pool kind of ridiculous. Other activities including home-shows, science fairs, pow-wows, and other events can block the entire facility during a weekend...futher increasing the issues as to when you can use this facility. All though the facility has great amenities, the ability and times that you can use them are limited to early morning, which can be swamped by those with memberships who try to use the facility and avoid college interferance. I would recommend only purchasing day passes at this center a couple times a month so you can use the pool or track if needed, but buying a membership may not be worth it.
