YMCA

I go here because it's the only gym with daycare, and the daycare leaves much to be desired. The staff is cranky and not very nurturing, they won't change diapers like at my old Y, and even come get you to "wipe your kid" because they're not allowed to touch them. So if you have a potty training child, you won't get much of a workout. My child cried and cried for much longer than he has at any daycare and they did little to calm him down, one lady told me she wasn't allowed to hug him because they can't "carry the children." The gymnastics classes are typical Y classes, not professional at all but fun. We're trying karate next, and will continue to be members due to the fact that it's the only gym I can go to.
The steam room and spa. Are located next to the exercise area.So noone showers before useing them. The spa/whirlpool only seats 2. This also leaves the locker room unattended too long. There are 20 year old kids waiting to break into your locker as soon as you leave. The ymca solution is to hang up a sign stating they are not responsible for lost or stolen items from the lockers. Also have a sign warning you not to leave valuables in your car & make sure you lock it up. Avoid this ymca.....
This branch is true community - we all know each other and the staff by name. It's refreshing to see the "regulars" there day after day along with the new faces taking part in something healthy and positive. I've been an active member for five years and have only positive things to say about the Y. It's kept clean - not only by staff but also the members and we take good care of machines. The staff there is friendly and helpful - to everyone, including this Hispanic and my family.
I also love the pool plus the daycare teachers are super friendly
Buen lugar para la familia
