Good gym and great people working and working out there. A real community. And now they have CrossFit there, too!
New ownership took over in 2007 and really did a great job updating both the equipment (new state of the art cardio and weight machines), and fitness classes for all ages. Friendly staff and great walk/bike to location in town, also very reasonable and competitive membership plans. I looked at the other fitness clubs around town, but joined this one immediately after walking through and seeing the new equipment/weight machines. Highly recommend dropping by and taking a tour of this club.
For Christmas I received a gift certificate for PT Athletic and I was not able to use it before I needed to leave town for work. I had a membership earlier this winter, and the gym itself was fine. I attempted to return the gift certificate with the person who purchased it for me, since it is of no use to me if I am living in another town, but they denied my request and opted to keep the $60. I am disappointed with this interaction and would have appreciated a little more understanding for my situation. I am unlikely to patronize this establishment again, due to this incident of poor customer service, and their insistence for payment without any services rendered.
