I love this LA fitness. i had over their at LA fitness a personal trainer name colton. he told me about how he was in the marines and trains other people and honestly i was gonna give up until he trained me. i felt pain and honestly i loved that pain he put me through. The first day he trained me i said "colton you're killing me" then he said to me "im not killing you, your killing yourself" that made me realize that all the pain that he was putting on me, i was putting it on myself. i felt like giving up but he pushed me passed my limits. I came home SORE like crazy. But then i looked in the mirror and i looked better than before. I am now attending this LA fitness because i love this LA fitness and thanks to colton i now am a monster and never giving up in life. I feel stronger than before and i feel great and look great. Thanks colton. You made me realize that i love fitness and never give up no matter what!
The only good thing about this place is that they close at 12am. This is the only reason why I will continue to go to this gym. The staff extremely rude and unprofessional. As I was changing in the women's locker room to leave. A male staff shout "Time to go". I went out there to let him know there are still two ladies in the locker room. In an rude tone he said, "ITS ALREADY 12, I GET PAID BY THE HOUR AND I DON'T GET PAID AFTER 12 TO BE HERE!" I told him, "Ok, were are getting ready to leave. As I was finishing up, he shouted from outside the door, "TIME TO GO!!, IF YOU REALLY WANNA BE HERE, COME BACK AT 5AM". There was no need for this since I already told him we're leaving. I have been a member for about 7 years and I have never felt so disrespected. It was very unprofessional of him to share his pay grade with customers, and the voice tone was unacceptable. I understand he wanted to leave, but there his approach was uncalled for. He should have been more assertive and professional in the situation
I will never stop going. They are great.
Went in to look and get prices. The reception girl took my name and didn't say have a seat or it'll be a few minutes nothing. A few minutes later the membership guy came out and showed me around. I told him that "I just needed prices packages ect". After walking me around we sat down. And pulled out the contract. I told him "I just wanted prices and didn't bring my credit card with me to join". He said "we can do debit too" when he saw my debit card. I told him that "I'd have to talk to my wife". He said " Call your wife to bring your credit card and she can sign up too" The gym looks and seems good. But, all they want is to sell, sell, sell. Won't be getting a membership there
Why is everyone knocking this LA Fitness? It's true, at times the staff may seem like all they want is for you to 'buy, buy, buy,' but they're all really nice people and I have never felt like they think they're better than I am or anything else. I was actually surprised with how nice they were. I even got a sweet deal for a personal trainer! As far as the locker rooms go, I use the gym daily... and the locker room is always spotless. I have only once come across a toilet that hadn't been flushed, but it seemed as if it had happened so recently that the staff wouldn't have even had time to clean it up yet. No big deal, just use a different stall. :) The classes are great, definitely intense. The machines are all wonderful and kept in great condition. I have also met a lot of really nice, down to earth members, so I can tell you it's not all "juicin gym rats," I promise. Mostly normal people just like you and me, especially if you go before the night rush (5-630ish week nights). Gyms can be intimidating, but this one really isn't. It's worth the money!
