Some would say its a good gym. They have the stuff I use and the stuff I don't use. If your just looking for stay in shape it will do the job. To me a gym is a gym but maybe I'm just spoiled by the gyms around here. Bottom line 9/10 they will have the stuff you want, and then some. Price is $150 for the first month then $40/month after that for the average plan, of course there is more expensive plans if your looking to waste money. but the $40 plan is good for most. They have the normal gym equipment plus the fancy stuff like: -T.V's -Pro-Shop -Resistance Machines -Tanning beds -Bar -Training -Hydro-Massage -cardio cinema and more
Really enjoyed being able to have a place with as many weights as possible in a downtown Seattle location! Convenient location, convenient hours, friendly staff. No problems with billing. Glad I was able to be a member there for as along as I was. Would do so again if I was working in downtown again.
Not up the usual standards at other gold's gyms. It's quite small with a limited amount of equipment and training area. One smith Machine could present a problem if more than one person wants to use it, and the benches are very close together. The most annoying part is no free parking one must park in a garage underground and pay which is very annoying.
The facility itself was relatively nice while I was using it, but I am very frustrated by my billing experience. Don't expect them to have your best interest in mind!! I explained that I would be in town for a short time (a little over a month) and was disappointed that they required a minimum of a two month membership for month-to-month payments. But I went ahead with it. What really frustrated me was the 30-day notice that's required to cancel, which was not explained adequately when I signed up! Since I missed the 30 day notice, I have been billed for an additional month, meaning I have been forced into paying for a full 3 months of gym membership, when I won't have been here half that time! And to make it worse, I'm relatively confident that they charged me more than the "limited-time sale price" that they explained. So, I've now been transferred to 2 customer service representatives and one supervisor at the billing agency (Angela), who told me that I am SOL and that none of them has authority to adjust anything about the bills. Who does?? Anyways, if you're on top of it and read all the fine print that they glaze over, you may have an OK experience - but it's clear they're out to make money at the expense of customer satisfaction (and I see a couple other people had similar experiences to mine). My recommendation: find a local gym that's less cut-throat!
What a scam. Tried to charge me $15 per day for my free trial, after I had already signed up for it. I signed up for the 7 day free trial (signed up online through the golds website), and tried twice to go to this gym. The first time, they turned me away the first time saying they wouldn't add me. The second time, they said that my free trial would cost $15 per day.
