18 month contract! Its ok - there is not a lot of space as compared with many other Anytimes I have been at. If you just do cardio its probably fine. If there are 2-4 people lifting at the same time it gets cramped fast. No spaces to do push-ups, lunges, or any yoga type activities like in all the other Anytimes I have been at. I never worked with any of the staff so I can't speak to that. All in all - not enough space for lifting during busy times - and there are some jerks that lift, take up all the space doing circuit training during peak hours, and are really profane and annoying. It usually makes my work outs last another 20-25 min when my workouts last only 30-35 min. Cardio - probably just fine if you don't go during rush hours.
I have nothing but a positive experience at this Anytime Fitness. Samantha gave a great tour around the facility and explained everything very clearly about how the contract works and what the monthly fees would be. Since signing up, the gym has always been clean and the staff has been very helpful with any questions or concerns that I may have had. Overall I have been very happy with this location and only wish that I could make more time to go.
The actual facility was nice, great machines and equipment. As for the personal and their contract situation... Thats a WHOLE other story. I was fed false information by the "owner" and then a year later found out that he was not the owner and that everything else he told me including contract information was false.. This location LOCKS you into your contract as if it is a death weight around your ankle. If you THINK that you may move or may not want to continue your contract with anytime, they will NOT let you out of your contract. You MUST pay the remaining months off. Its not like your phone company where you can pay an early termination fee.. Nope, not here.. you must pay the rest off before you can cancle your contract, NO EXEPTIONS. Very rude staff, they dont care about their customers, only the money half. If you are looking to go to the gym to "try" it out or just for a few months.. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE... Once you sign on the dotted line.. there is no looking back and you just spent $500.00 no matter how long you plan on going.. If you dont like the facility... tough.. we got your money thats all that matters... May be convienent because its a block away. but financialy its is a train wreck and service is crap.
The owner was EXTREMELY pushy. I wanted to wait to see if my insurance company would pay for half, but he insisted I sign up first and then the insurance will pay, but that was not true. I was supposed to go to the insurance company first. I explained the situation and he would not do anything for me. He was actually quite mean about it.
There maybe a new owner, however good luck ever catching this guy with people staffed or in his office. Wost customer service ever. The below five star ratting is the Owner trying to make his Google search look better.
