I had been a long time member but I lost my member card and one of the employees insisted that I had to buy a new one. This was the 1st time I ever lost it and I asked if I could get a free replacement and he said no it must be paid for. Now it was only $10 but I felt that as a long time member, they could be somewhat courteous.I told him that it doesn't matter to me if I even have a card or not, why can't I just give you my name every time and you can validate my membership and sign me in. He said no it's not his job to do so. I said it isn't that what you're here for? Aren't you supposed to validate members before you allow access? He said yes but it's not his job to type in my name. (I guess moving 2 fingers to type in my name was lot of work). I asked for bobby the manager and was told he wasn't in and was told he can't be reached off duty. I felt this was extremely poor customer service and therefore I told him I will just cancel my contract. He said he was ok with that. When I told him that not only would they lose me but they would also lose my buddy's business, he said it's ok, they have a lot of new people signing up everyday and losing 2 would not matter. This was extremely unprofessional and basically shows their lack of appreciation for their members. He lost 2 members over $10 and that is extremely poor business sense in my opinion. As for the facilities, they have been deteriorating. Half the gym's floor space has been taken up by an indoor baseball field. You have to pay $10 just to step on it. It has become extremely crowded due to reduced workout space. All their cardio machines are second hand and half of them are always broken and never get fixed.
was a member for a year and a half. extremely disorganized management! Ive gone in twice to cancel my membership but still they keep charging me. not to mention they had pigeons roaming around freely in the gym and the mens changeroom.
Have been going to the gym here for 16 months. Yeah, its not the best facilitated gym in the city however for $16 per month you can't go wrong. And it is 24 hours all days off the year. And I have never had any problems with the auto payment system they have in place definitely recommend to everyone interested in actually working out and not seeking all the Bells and whistles of a modern gym facility.
VERY shady and unscrupulous business practices. Will charge you whatever they want. Do NOT give them your credit card #, bank account, etc. as they will run rampant with it and frequently mis-charge. Hides hidden fees in contracts. The gym itself isn't that great either, stuffed with meatheads and roid monkeys. Awful.
Fantastic squash facility, with five singles courts and one doubles court. Courts are in great condition with hardwood floors and a glass back wall, open at the top. Although you can lose the occasional ball out the open back it really helps to keep the noise down and air circulation up, making it a pleasant playing environment. The locker room is well equipped with lots of lockers. Showers are split into stalls with curtains, so you don't feel like you're in a prison shower! The weight/cardio equipment area is wide open and warehouse-like. I haven't used the gym facilities so I can't comment on them. There is a licensed restaurant attached to the gym, so if you feel like a beer after your squash league night you will be well taken care of.
