I started at Lift because my very good friend became a trainer there. When he left to go to the RCMP, I thought I'd be lost but I am so grateful that the other trainers (Ben, Mel!!) took such good care of me! They not only helped me get to the next steps, but they allowed me to really reach my potential. With tips, tricks, motivation and plans designed specifically for me (side note shout out to Sarah for her help with my nutrition!) I managed to loose even more body fat. Whatever the reason you are thinking of joining a gym (health, looks, a bit of both) Lift has amazing people to help you reach those goals! The sky really is the limit!
Well where do I start to write a review of LIFT? LIFT has been a game changer for me. As I started to creep toward the big 40, I made an agreement with myself that I wanted to be the best me possible when turning the big 4-0! I signed up for help with Silas and he has been incredible- so full of knowledge and support. I have had high blood pressure issues for over 20 years and recently had one medication removed in part due to the exercise programming with Silas. I feel healthier and look healthier. I am more toned and have muscles in places I only hoped before. I have more energy and feel so good/proud when I leave LIFT. I was never a big fan of gyms and exercising but I actually miss it now when I go a few days without exercise! I am not where I want to be, but I am a lot closer to my goal. I feel I can reach my goal because of LIFT. LIFT is not a basic gym. It offers a new lifestyle.....a philosophy for health and wellness. I highly recommend LIFT for anyone who wants to enhance their body, mind and overall wellness.
Thanks to Amy at Lift, I may be on my way to avoiding the heat attack that hit both grandfather's in their forties. When Silas and Amy decided to open a boutique gym a few years ago, I said I'd give it a try to be supportive but reflecting on my high school experience I knew I was uncoordinated and an athletic failure. I half heart-idly tried to find someone to go with me and finally just bought massage gift certificates for me and my staff. Even those seemed hard to use...so hard in fact, the masseuse left before any of staff used them. After a year of knowing I had lost hundreds of dollars, the Irish in my DNA got the best of me. I convinced my cousin that we should give personal training at Lift a try. Without her support, I would have even procrastinated on this step. After five months, in turns out that my high school perceptions may have been all wrong. Apparently being able to get balls through hoops has little bearing on one's heath. Exercise executed in a way that avoids injury is the key and encouragement from Amy keeps us coming back. Now the person who was a miserable failure at sports is confident in his abilities, interested in his health and is probably better in shape than many of his high school peers who aced gym class. I'd strongly recommend giving Lift a try if you're afraid of the gym but know you need you need to get a handle on your health.
Lift Personal Fitness staff and clients are welcoming and friendly, giving the facility an amazing atmosphere. There is a wide variety of equipment all in great shape and each Trainer has a different background so there is a ton of knowledge between all of them!
A great facility for TRX Training as well as personal training, the small club look allows you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your training session.
