I have been a member of SportsMED Fitness center since Spring 2010. It is an awesome facility! The equipment is top notch and the classes are awesome. It is the cleanest gym I have ever been to, I occasionally shower there b/c it is that clean :) The staff is very friendly, courteous and very easy to talk to. The price is also awesome compared to other gyms in the area. Your gym membership includes childcare and classes( they have great classes). Other gym's will charge you extra for both.** BEST GYM IN THE AREA!

Sportsmed Fitness Center is absolutely the BEST gym in Huntsville. In addition to a substantial variety of Cybex training equipment, Cybex weight equipment, and plenty of free weights and sculpting equipment, Sportsmed also offers numerous and fun fitness classes. The staff, instructors and personal trainers are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The locker rooms and showers are sparkling clean from floor to ceiling and are always well stocked. The gym itself and all of the equipment is very clean (definitely one of the cleanest in Huntsville) and always well maintained. Sportsmed is also well lit. There are some gyms in Huntsville that are dimly lit and make you feel as though you are working out in a dungeon. And another bonus to working out at Sportsmed is the majority of clients who workout there are also friendly. It is an all around FANTASTIC fitness experience.

The place is clean, but NO customer service, or care. Apathy is written all over the faces of the young girls at the front desk. I walked in to take a look at the facility and the girls at the front just looked at me as if I had grown horns on my head! What a sad, sad, exibit of poor, poor, customer service and marketing....I walked right out... Joined at the YMCA. LOTS of wonderful people who actually want your business!!

My wife Peggy and I have been members of the SportsMed Fitness Center since the summer of 2009. My wife had broken her hip and was in SportsMed Physical Therapy. When her therapy ended when Medicare coverage stopped, she was told she needed more therapy and training and they introduced us to the SportsMed Fitness Center. All of the staff took a personal interest in us and showed us all of the equipment and how to use it. My wife has a personal trainer from the Center who has worked with her in gaining her balance, strength in her upper body and legs. It has been a wonderful experience for us and we will continue as long as our physical conditions allow. The center provides Cybex equipment, free weights, step aerobics, cycling classes, Turbokick, sculpting, YogaFit-style, free child care, free lockers amd showers. We have been to other fitness centers but only SportsMed Fitness Center gets BEST EVER RATING. (James)

I will admit I absolutely LOVE the equipment & the cleanliness! The problem is the staff is horrible. From the top to the bottom just bad.example 1 day I come in & the girl working the desk is blow drying her hair..yes really I would never think to make that up.another ex) is the staff frequently brings in Krispy Kreme doughnuts or McDonalds for themselves while some of us actually care about our health & Fitness.Christian Music to work out to? I am sorry but how is this motivating me to workout? If i wanted that i would go 2 church to hear the word.Equipment Great but after that it is all downhill..my advice work out close to home @ a gym with a great atmosphere..u will get better results that way.
