Pleasant Pointe Apartments
Reviews
I have been living here for nearly two years. If you read nothing else, read this: I am gladly paying the near 2,000 reletting and buyout fee to get the heck outta this place. I thought the rent was reasonable. Not for an apartment that was last updated in the 80s and a staff that is not only of poor intelligence but they change weekly. I never got to see my apartment until the day of the move in. The staff threaten me they would sell it if I didn't put down a full months rent as deposit, 400 dollars for my pet, and a prorated rent as well. The cost to move into this place is ridiculous. I honestly thought I would get a nice clean place but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Plus they charge you pet rent, 35 dollars just for your animal to live with you. While touring other apartments I was brought to light how ridiculous this is as well. The maintence staff is not only dimwitted but dangerous. They sent over one in the middle of the night on Easter Sunday. When I refused to open the door to him and his friend who was not even maintence but didn't even work there, he threatened me. Yes. The staff stated that it was my fault for not checking their vague email on a holiday. I had a leak from the ac upstairs that completely rotted and mildewed out the downstairs closet. Plus a nice hole in the ceiling indicating I had guests living with me. I've posted these pictures. The ceiling didn't get fixed until 6 months later, all the while I had to have a bucket in the downstairs closet to catch the leak or come home to wet carpets. The ceiling fix came in the form of not replacing the original vent that was there, so now the system can't even breathe but never fixing the leak. Thank God I won't be here in the summer when the next poor sap moves in and discovers their ceiling is all wet and everything in that closet is ruined. Everything in the apartment has been painted over enough to cause a layer on the walls three times as thick as your skin. Dripping paint jobs and previous tenant hair painted over are what awaits you here. Not to mention the globs of plaster slapped on and then painted. What eye or person paints these is a shame to any painter profession. The dryer is so old there is lint inside the machine. A wall of lint, literally a grey disgusting carpet inside the machine. It takes two 105 minute cycles to dry your apartment size washer load. Comforters bigger than a twin do not fit in them as well. Please don't move here. Don't get robbed by the staff monthly like I did. Don't put yourself in danger by dealing with the daily failing equipment and please look the other way when you see your 200 dollar light bill for 2 people who are not even here 60 hours a week. Oh and don't forget every word and conversion you can hear from your neighbor. Forget calling the police nor the call center that the staff puts place to answer their calls when they are tired of hearing from you. Save your money and run. Run as fast as you can.
With regret I have to say, don't move here despite the location and its affordability. They over charge for water, there is a lot of crime (anywhere from theft to murder), and although the staff is relatively nice, the hell you have to go through to get insect infestations under control is not worth it. Also, upon exiting your lease they will nickel and dime you for everything. My advice would be to shell out a bit more money and live somewhere safer, cleaner, and more honest.
I have been living at these apartments for about 2 months now... It took a month to just recieve our mailbox keys, the second day we were here there was a murder, and lastly the so called security treats you like crap!!!! There is usually just one way out and the security vehicle just parks in the middle of the street causing you to have to squeeze by every evening, and that is followed by them yelling and cussing at you for doing so... I would not recommend this place to anyone at all!!!!!
Everything from no hot water to washer leakage.
The worst place to live
