Westside Mixed Martial Arts
Reviews
Whether you are just looking for a good workout with friendly, motivating people or you are looking for a gym to push you to your competitive limits, Westside is the place to go! Everyone is extremely friendly and inviting and there is a wide variety of different classes to try out every day of the week. You will not only improve your physical fitness, but you will gain an amazing social network of wonderful people from all walks of life who encourage you to keep pushing yourself. I've never regretted joining this gym and I have never regretted going to a class there. It's top quality without a doubt!
After training in MMA since 2010 I have finally found my home gym. The techniques taught and the charisma and characteristics of the people that train everyday beats any other place hands down. The vibe you get as soon as you walk through the doors will reassure your decision of the right place to pour in your hard effort, sweat and tears. After every class you are guaranteed leaving the mats feeling like a better more accomplished person than you were before stepping foot upon them. The love that carries over outside of the mats into your everyday life where you make not only new friends but also inherit a new family. The level of respect and appreciation these brothers and sisters share for one another is truly a showcase for MMA. -Raven N.
If you’re in Central Arkansas and are interested in martial arts, mixed martial arts, self defense, or just getting in a good non-traditional workout, Westside MMA is THE place to do it. Roli and Matt have assembled a world class team of instructors and have done an excellent job of creating a friendly, supportive, unpretentious atmosphere that makes training there an absolute pleasure. I’m a fifty-something empty-nester who went mainly as a change of pace from treadmills and exercise bikes. It’s pretty cool to be a beginner training alongside men and women ranging from beginners to professional fighters. It’s also pretty cool how even the biggest, scariest guys in the gym are so friendly and supportive. If you haven’t met Boris, you need to. If you want to compete in martial arts, this is the place to be. You’ll find the best fighters and coaches in the area who will push you and help you maximize your potential. If you just want to get in a good workout in a friendly, supportive place that will make you feel at home, this is the place to be. Roli and Matt have great attitudes, and you'll be surrounded by training partners who follow their lead.
Was traveling through Little Rock and stopped by. Not only did Roli teach a great jiu jitsu class, the students at Westside were very welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. I couldn't recommend another place to train jiu jitsu or any other martial art. This place is it if you are in Little Rock!
Instructors very knowledgeable. Teammates are supportive and adjust to any skill level. The training area was large, a good teambuilding atmosphere. It is not a 5 star for two reasons. Bath/locker room was horrible. Dirty, disorganized, only 3 lockers and the sink is broken. Yes, I understand people to come here for the bath room however, there should be some sort of minimum standard. Second is that the startup cost for beginners is too high. $ 99 Registration fee, $149 a month, $100 for a Gi if you don't have one that is $348.00 just to get started. They should have a better introductory rate for newbie’s.
