SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: I was of this gym; yet each time I stalked by the huge windows, I dreamed that one day I could muster the courage to walk in. It took me 4 months. I am incredibly happy I made that choice. I spoke with Annie who set me up with a personal trainer. For anyone worried that folks there will judge you or be snarky - don't. The staff AND THE members are kind and supportive. And actually keep to themselves. And from 1:45- 3:15 the gym is EMPTY. I don't need to workout with my trainer holding my hand, because i can do it on m own; instead he helps me via text and once a month (just to make sure my form is good)
I joined NIAC for the classes and it's changed my life! The classes alone are worth the monthly membership. They offer a variety of classes from relaxing yoga to challenging HIIT. NIAC has friendly and experienced trainers that reinforce the importance of form. My physic has changed for the better. I even convinced a few friends to try out the NIAC classes using the week free trial they offer and they're now members. Thanks NIAC, keep up the good work.
I’m doing trial memberships at all of the gyms in town to find out which one I want to join. Anytime fitness was small, but has obvious benefits in that it’s open 24 hours every day. I explained to the attendant at North Idaho Athletic Club that I was trying different gyms and wanted to get a trial membership at their gym. Michelle proceeded to set up my trial and said it would cost $20 for the week. I thought this was very strange considering anytime fitness offered me a week trial for free. I paid the fee and was also instructed that I would need to purchase a towel for 50 cents a day or bring my own. Again this is strange considering every other gym in town offers new clean towels for free. I began my workout and couldn’t help but notice that much of the equipment was dirty and worn out. Almost every machine is taped up and extremely worn. A couple machines were not functioning properly. The showers were also dirty and in poor condition. Unlike every other gym, soap is not included in the showers. After talking with my friend I discovered that North Idaho athletic Club does indeed offer free trial memberships. I called to find out why my membership was not free. Libby informed me that they do offer free trial memberships, but it’s a judgment call on whoever is working. She informed me that the clerk must not have believed I really was planning on getting a membership so she charged me! In addition to essentially calling me a liar she also said there would be no way to refund the charge because it happened the day before and “that would be suspicious to the owner”. This is very poor customer service. Not only is the building/equipment poorly maintained but the customer service is very poor. I would not recommend this gym to anyone not even for a trial membership!
Has affordable childcare. Very friendly people/ staff. New equipment is not the only attribute of a great gym. Spinning and other classes are very enjoyable.
I have been going to this gym off and on for years. The staff (most of them) are nice, some are more of the "trainer" type. I have gotten a free membership before, and thought that was quite kind. The showers have water stains, but have been totally clean and fresh smelling each time I have used them. There is shampoo and conditioner but no soap. I always see the staff washing down the equpiment and replacing the dirty towels with clean ones. But some of the equipment does feel worn down and kind of grimey. There are often machines that aren't working, but don't tend to be ones that I use, so it doesn't usually bother me. I think it is really cool that they are able to offer so many different classes free with membership. There is always a free TV while I am there, and I have NEVER had to wait to use the cardio equipment. The hours are really bad. If I had a complaint, that would be it. When the new gym by rosauers opens i will see what their deal is. I like the no memberhip stuff, just go in and pay. no application or anything.
