Midwest Training & Ice Center

Midwest has been a great experience for my children as well as myself. The kids love to go to gymnastics and one of my children play hockey there. They didn't enjoy gymnastics at the old place we went to but we went to Midwest and tried a class for FREE!! I couldn't believe how big the gym was and the ice arena was amazing. The helpful staff is always a pleasure for me and my wife to speak to about anything we have concerns about. On Saturday nights we often attend the cosmic skate with the family and have a blast on the ice. I would recommend them to anyone. They have a Cafe inside the complex that makes it easy to get food on days that I am there with the kids. I don't know what I'd do without Midwest Training and Ice Center for my children.I do the adult hockey league in my spare time. It's a great way for even me to get out there and have some fun. It's a great place to be and the people are always friendly.
Midwest Training and Ice is a great facility! The owner, staff, and coaches really care about the success of each of their students. I also love coming out with the family for Open Skate! I am really happy that MTIC is so close to home. I would highly recommend both the Dyer and Crown Point locations.
MONEY HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I understand there is a "drop policy," I was confused and thought I could drop my daughter by the first of a new month. My daughter was only three years old when she said she wanted to try gymnastics. Halfway through the month of October, she was crying and telling me she no longer wanted to go to gymnastics and wanted to do dance. I called to ask how to drop her for the month of November and I was informed I would have to pay the entire month of November and force my 3 year old to attend another month or pay $80 without her attending. When I informed them that she was only three and there were only four kids in her class as it was, they said id didn't matter her age because they had to ensure proper staffing. However, her coach was late to every single practice by 15-30 minutes and the class was only a 55 minute class that I was paying $80 a month for. She also had very disruptive kids in her class that took up more of the instructor's time(when she was there). They told me she could do the dance class at the Crown Point facility for the month of November if she didn't want to continue gymnastics, however, there is no such class. There is only a half dance/half gymnastics class at the Crown Point facility. I mentioned this, but was still told that I had to pay for an entire extra month regardless if she wanted to attend or not. I also mentioned that in fine print under the drop policy it states: "(The Drop Policy may be subject to change upon the decision of Management.)" However, I guess that is only for "certain" people. We are switching to Summit if she decides to continue with gymnastics in the future.
What a great facility, been going there for a few years know for gymnastics classes, and my girls love it. Their professional trained gymnastic coaches are absolutely amazing. We have recently added another day of classes a week and the progression they have made with two days a week is just incredible, and girls cannot wait for Friday night Open Gym every week either, supervision and they can practice they skills while I run to the store couldn't be better! Couldn't ask for a greater gymnastic program. Thank you Midwest Training and Ice.
My daughter started at Midwest in November 2013, she had been asking for quite sometime to try-out Competitive cheer, SHE INSTANTLY FELL IN LOVE with all Midwest had to offer, not only for cheer and tumbling classes but for their "open gyms" as well. The staff/coaches have brought out so much of her talents that she now is on a Senior 3 full season squad. If she could, she would be at the gym 24/7, she even "fills in" for other squads if she's needed, she's NEVER afraid to volunteer, needless to say we have had a great experience with Midwest and look forward to many more years to come.
