Very disappointed in Planet Fitness....had to cancel my membership, moved out of state. Called Planet Fitness Elkhart location on the 9/6 and was told I would have to mail a letter post dated by 9/10 and require a signature when delivered, an additional cost of $2.90. I did this, an employee from Planet Fitness called me to confirm that they received the letter and that I had met the requirements....if my account was debted the membership fee, call back & they would reimburse me. Well my account was debeted, I called today & was told that they received it on 9/11 and I could not be reimbursed. I explained to Marcie what the previous 2 employees told me, she put me on hold, spoke with mgr. Alex, he told her to repeat to me the same, no reimbursement. I asked to speak with him, she said he was busy & would tell me the same. I asked for their last names, she would not give them to me. I know that it is just $10, but, it adds up to be more for Planet Fitness, I was planning to rejoin after I got settled, but @ this point, it will not happen.
Great place, no pressure. Have lost about 20# in the last 4 months and gone down in size. You need to make a personal commitment any where you go, Planet Fitness just makes it easy.
Love going to work out just need get back in going
