This place is horrible. I'm assuming she was manager, but was only there for a brief time before leaving with two men. She also locked the door behind her so I couldn't get in. Unless this place changes employees, I'm never returning. Waste of my time and gas. HORRIBLE!

i hate this place sooo much! the manager is stupid and doesnt pay attention to her cilents. i went here to get a 7 day pass and check it out the women seemed bubbly and nice. i didnt like that fact that all of it is just equipment and there are no classes to take. she set up for me to meet the trainer and he was going to show me how to use the equipment but he never showed up. i reschedule my appointment with him and waited for 20mins and he still never got there so i left. i came back about a week later and the manager ask me if i have been there before. i told her i already signed up a week ago and been coming here for about 2 weeks. she didnt recongize me and didnt even know what my name was. for how airheaded this women is i can come in and out of there and workout for free because she doesnt pay any attention at all. some days shes not even there and her tainer just sits there all day and doesnt say anything about the people who come and go freely. horrible place, horrible service and totally not worth the money!

I joined anytime fitness at Lansing Ks so I could work out when I wanted and not have to put up with broken equipment and a gym full of college students and teen agers. This is the way it was at Maximus. When I signed up there was a new manager that seemed very energetic. I also signed up for the tanning. It took less than a month to realize that I was going to have to switch locations. First of all staff hours are posted on the door, however they are not adhered to. If there is not a staff member present then you cannot tan. So that was wasted money. As for not putting up with idiots at the gym, that did not work either. There were 3 or 4 youg males who appeared to just hang out and flirt with the manager. I say that because I never saw them lift a weight. One evening they were overheard making very unpleasant remarks about the manager. We brought this to her attention. A few days later she was not present, even though it was during her staff hours. One of them locked their keys in the tanning room. I sat and watched them leave to go get tools to take the door off the hinges. when I contacted the manager her response was "I told them not to damage anything" Needless to say this is not at all what I thought it would be. Now I have to find a way to get the tanning charge off my membership. I have moved my location to anytime fitness in Liberty, Mo. What an amazing difference. A ton of equipment, professional staff, tanning beds that you can use your key fob to tan, no staff needed. And the facility is staff according to the scheduled hours. So although I love anytime fitness, I would stay away from the one in Lansing, Ks

I only visited the facility to see about joining. I found the facility small with little privacy. No lockers were available at the time of my visits. The door was suoposed to be locked unless an active fob was used, but many times I found people would walk right in laughing that the door was "still broke" and they didnt need the fob. Hopefully issues have been resolved.

I have been a member here since it opened at the beginning of summer '08 and love it. I can go whenever I want. I was a members at Maximus and, like everyone else, got fed up with all the bull**** they kept tellin us. I have lost 40 lbs since being a member here. Its nice to have a gym that motivates ya. And I agree with the other review, this managment rocks.
