East Coast Fitness is great! The atmosphere is friendly and the place is clean and well maintained. They just brought back fitness classes! Tried the newest Kettlebell classes, what a workout! Absolutely loved the Zumba class. Liz (instructor) can really shake it! She makes it so fun, you forget you are actually exercising! Also tried Cycling classes for the first time, now I am hooked! They also have a huge circuit room full of 3 different types of machines, feels like my own private gym. A ton of weightlifting equipment and cardio equipment with tv's. Best of all their open at 5:00AM. You get all this for right now at only $19.99 per month! What a deal!!!! Ask for a free week. You will definetly join!
ECF is easily the best gym around. I have been going there for the past 6 years. It has a ton of weightlifting equipment in 2 rooms. One room is similar to a curves with ~50 nautilus-style machines, lightweight dumbells, medicine balls, exercise mats, etc. The other room has all the free weights (up to 125 lb new, really nice dumbells), free weight machines and benches, elipticals, treadmills, stair steppers, stair climber, bikes, recumbant bikes, and plenty of TVs including 3 new flatscreens. Also has tanning beds, saunas, small daycare room (not sure if they still do daycare), drinks/smoothies, ECF apparel, and some belts, straps, and other weightlifting stuff to purchase. They offer a free one-week trial membership, otherwise a walk-in day rate is still $10 I think. The best deal is the year membership which is around $300. You cant see it from the road but it is in the complex directly across from Muckeys Package Store (take the main entrance off 44 then first left). Everyone who goes here is really nice so no need to feel embarassed or anything.
