Looking for a gym in the area, saw the website, thought I'd check them out. The new owner put a ton of money into the place, and it really shows: new tennis courts, new basketball floors, new weight room equipment. The training staff has won a bunch of awards. Not as fancy as some, but who cares when you're sweating to CNN on the big screen teevee? Bottom line is that I can afford it - and it has everything I need.
So they just redid this whole place gave it a new name. Gilbert Rincon is my coach and i couldn't imagine having a better one. He is there for you 100% of the time. The staff is amazing and funny. Gilbert can always make you laugh. When they were doing the remoding it wasnt that nice but they just got all new equipment in. I hear the Trainers are Wonderful Please come try it out I think you will be Very pleased. They also just got a Massage Business in there I cant wait to try one.
I have been playing at GVTC for a few years now and I must say I have mixed feelings. Some of the staff are super exciting and ready to teach where others just feed the balls and mumble to themselves. They do have a nice weight room and spinning area, but their locker rooms are litteraly falling apart. There are holes in the ceiling and buckets under them to catch the water. My advice to anyone planning on going is... If you want quality instruction head on over but if you are looking for atmosphere and alot of extras like a food courts and pools head down the road to Genesys
The gym switched owners recently and the new staff doesn't know how to manage a gym. Part of the relocation of the weight room to the back of the gym included gas powered concrete cutters running 20 feet away from the members weight area during working hours. There's no A/C in the new area which is basically a pole barn and it gets unbearably hot and muggy in the summer back there. They removed the cups from the drinking device they have there and there's no way to get a drink other than having a water bottle. Every time you ask the management a question you get a different answer.
