This dump claims that it is a family place but their ageist policy will not allow my children in the gym. I was planning on buying a family pass after checking it out for the day but being as they refused admittance to 2/3 of my family they can suck it. Thanks for saving me money dicks but I would rather be able to get my son and daughter into exercising. 12 and 15 are NOT too young to be in a gym. They aren't 7 years old and would not bother a soul. Get fucked rec plex. I only gave you 1 star because it wouldn't let me publish with zero.

I have been playing hockey here for the past year religiously on weds mornings at 11:15 ......I do understand that there wasn't always great attendance and do understand that maybe shutting it down makes since..... But what I have a problem with is the fact that they can't make a SIMPLE phone call to their Web administrator to make the SIMPLE adjustment of deleting that line from the page on the website. As they have had ample notice before weds..... Not only did I waste my days of vacation I took off.... But I wasted my gas money that it takes to drive from Dogtown in St. Louis ouis city 25.2 miles to be exact an d 34 min of driving time and 10 to 15 dollars in gas it takes to get there..."I drive a truck ". So with that said.... Do not trust them to do there job....P.S. Go BLUES

They have open swim during swim classes for kids and let the general public use the lanes that they are teaching the classes in. Yeah, between about 4 and 5 pm there are swim teams practicing and there isn't but a lane or two for the 3 or 4 swim classes. The swim classes have to share lanes with each other AND the general public. The kids have to swim around these people like they are obstacles. No offense to the public, these times are advertised; but I've seen a lot of swim lessons in my time, but never scheduled with the general public interfering. After having this experience, I have looked more closely at the "Y" as another commenter suggested. I can see that the program looks more comprehensive at the "Y" as the sidestroke is not shown to be taught at the RecPlex. I can also see that the "Y" claims to focus more on individual attention. Your child will just be failed at the RecPlex if they don't grasp a concept, no individual help there (unless you pay hefty fees for private instruction). My feelings are "if the students don't learn, the teacher hasn't taught". It would be interesting to know the "failure" rate for swimming at the RecPlex. Talking to the parents of students in the class, it seems to be very high.

Love this place. Pool is huge, clean and always has lanes available.
