My experience has not been as positive. I signed up for personal training sessions with Lindsey and paid in full. I only received two sessions and have not heard or seen her since. Judging from the two sessions she is has the skills to help one shed the pounds; however, I do not find that she is the professional that I initially thought her to be. I paid nearly $230 for a personal trainer and she failed to own up to her end as I was due twelve sessions. No return calls, emails, text, nothing. I need to get rid od weight not money. My advice is that if you select this group to help you shed the pounds, DO NOT pay in full; only pay per session. No one has money to throw away these days,
My review for Fitness First...Ok where to start...sorry for the longwindedness but I don’t think a short review would give this the justice it deserves…. First off, I was the most inactive person you could probably think of. Although I had always had the desire to know what its like to push myself physically to the limit, I could never seem to actually push myself past my comfort zone when starting a new program, long enough to see results. I think the longest I ever stuck with one was like a week (on my own). I tried it all…DVD’s, gym, etc….nothing stuck… So, in one of my "fed up" moods with myself and being weak and lazy, I Googled "Personal Training" in Fayetteville and my first hit was Fitness First. I emailed the director, and set everything up, and the rest is history. First of all, the atmosphere/setting is WONDERFUL. There is nothing better than getting out in the fresh air, after spending all day cooped up in an office. It feels wonderful. Lindsay and George “Juice” are EXCELLENT at what they do! They push you enough to break past your comfort zone without killing you, and that is SO IMPORTANT because for me THAT was the biggest hurdle. When I was doing it on my own, as soon as I felt discomfort, I would give up. But, they walk you through it, check your form, making sure you’re doing the exercises right, so that you can get the fullest result. They are a great pair, very knowledgeable and professional. Lindsay gives you that sweet, gentle, yet firm encouragement that helps you stop with the excuses and push just a little harder…Juice gives you that “no-nonsense” (at ALL) approach, no excuses, just get it done, all without sounding like that drill Seargent from Full Metal Jacket. And the “boot camp” phrase is true in the sense that it is something that will demand the best of you, but there is no one that is going to be yelling in your face, or pushing you to the point of extreme discomfort or injury. Its more like a team, a group of friends, all working together for our common goals. Back to me – I am now at a physical level I havent been at probably since I was in middle school. I can run, jump, squat, get down in the dirt – I mean ALL of it, and the best part of it is, even when I’m pushing past my discomfort level, I’m loving every minute of it! My day to day life, I feel so much stronger and better, not to mention developing a hot bod is definitely not anything to complain about, lol! People constantly tell me the difference they are seeing, and currently I am only right at 6 weeks in (but results do vary person to person depending on your body type. But if you put in work YOU WILL see results). I would definitely recommend this to anyone, at any fitness level. Whether you want to maintain your level, increase it, or lose weight and get out of “couch potato mode”. Not to knock any of the area gyms, but honestly I couldn’t imagine stepping foot into a sweaty, crowded, borderline sexual harassment filled gym with contracts that bind you to everything short of giving your first born child – compared to being outside with my Boot Camp Buddies!! Just give it a chance…You Won’t Regret It!!!
