Select used to be a great gym however they use national fitness as their billing and collections department. I recently cancelled my membership due to a move that made going there not fiscally viable. No issues right? WRONG!!! My debit card was breached and between the time I got the new cards and activated them a debit from select hit my account. Of course the old card was no good so they charged me 25.00. I called to dispute the charge. I talked to some guy who told me my story didnt add up. Because the breeches happened in September. I didn't get my cards activated until mid november but this guy wanted to play detective!!! Worst customer service ever. Instead of calming the situation he decided to escalated it by being a smug and very condescending. I will never join an organization that uses National Fitness as a billing manager. Their customer service a appalling and when I asked to speak to a manager I was told that it was their policy not to allow that!! Select Fitness is Staffed by great people but National Fitness who handles their business is not a very good company so thanks to National Fitness Select gets an EPIC FAIL!!!!! and 1 star
Signed up for the fitness club and personal training. They lie about everything to get you to sign a contract. If you have a problem then they say "It's not our problem, take it up with our billing company" You talk to the billing Co. and they refuse to refund your money and keep on charging. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY. I HAD TO CHANGE MY BANK ACCT SO THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE IT!!!!!!
I love this gym! My personal training session was wonderful, I did not feel pressured into buying anything! My kids love the child care, the ladies that work the child care know my kids by name! The GM and other employees are always at the front desk to greet members! I looked at many other gyms in the area and this was the best fit for me! Do not let the bad reviews make up your mind for you! Go check out the gym for your self!
It's all fun and games when the high pressure you to sign up. Hunter is the manager and he doesn't do anything to manage at all just sits back and collects the checks. When we signed up (wife and I) we were told they'd have specific classes and they never did. I specifically asked before we signed the contract how to cancel and they said that we could come in and cancel. LIES LIES LIES. We are on our 8th billing cycle after we have sent them 3 letters of cancellation. Where do you have to send the letters? UTAH! THey can't accept faxes there either apparently that is against their policy. As a military member I move around and have been to 10-20 gyms. OVERALL WORST EXPERIENCE AT A GYM. Beautiful promises but horrible follow-through. Cancellation is a nightmare.
I joined the gym in May 2010 and have nothing but a great experience! They are always smiling and friendly when I walk in and for only $30/month the services are crazy awesome! The daycare area is great (and FREE!) and my kids drag me out of the house to go to the gym. The changing rooms/sauna is top notch and they are always changing/adding programming to adjust to client needs. The nutrition/supplement advice is invaluable and I've never been 'pressured' into anything. Staff are helpful and always willing to answer questions. I love this gym!
