24 Hour Fitness
Reviews
been at this gym for year's now and I wouldn't go to anywhere else but this one, don't really need much to get fit, it's like my other home after all!!! :)
I've been to 6 24 Hour Fitness' in the area, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, Valley Ranch, Addison, & this location, & I must say this is my favorite 24. It's not the "fanciest," & hasn't been re-innovated like the Irving one recently has but that's why I love it. The "fancier" ones attract a lazier atmosphere, people go to those to walk on treadmills and stretch, I go to lift, and I can do so comfortably in this spacious gym with plenty of equipment. This 24 has the biggest variety in equipment, with more than one of each so you're not waiting for the one machine in the whole gym and a ton of dumbbells. It's not the "prettiest" of the 24's but you can def get a good workout in & that's why I love it. Oh & I've never seen it dirty, only thing I suggest is adding newer water fountains
Equipment was old, dirty and in major need of upgrading. The whole place was over crowded, people were complaining about the gym openly. The building itself was in disrepair, there were bare spots worn into the floor. The whole environment was not a conducive to trying to do a steady routine. This was my 1st time to this location after moving from Fort Worth and having a membership too the 24 on Overton Ridge. Needless to say I wont be going back to this location. Honestly no one should until its renovated.
Good staff, lots of weight lifting equipment and lots of people who are cool.
I'm a current member and will be until my contract runs out. This location has decent enough equipment, but it far below the bar set by other clubs in the area. The elliptical machines are below residential grade. This means they are flimsy with 18-inch strides. Most gyms have commercial machines with 24-inch strides. The free-weight section is small and cramped. If you're just starting out, this gym may be ok for you. But for those looking to really get in shape or maintain fitness, I suggest you avoid. Also for some reason, about 50% of the people there, at any given time, are actually there to be seen and not work out. Others get on cardio equipment and yell on their cell phones. The staff and "personal trainers" don't even know the equipment. I had to explain the machines to the guy trying to sell me a membership.
