Dude they suck. Big ones. Big time. Ultra Body Fitness is pretty wretched. The sad thing is I haven't even had my first session with them yet and I already have so many terrible things to say about them. I signed a contract on May 19th, 2012 and agreed to let Ultra Body Fitness begin drafting my account starting June 8th, 2012. So, on June 8th, I called to schedule an appointment. Whomever answered the phone wasn't very with it (i.e. intelligent) and seemed as though he was barely capable of tying his shoes, let alone scheduling me for a training session. Therefore, he promised to have the manager, Ivan, call me back. This never happened, of course. June 9th, I called Ultra Body Fitness once again to schedule an appointment. This go around had more success and I was scheduled to see the personal trainer on June 11th at 8 p.m. Of course, I showed up to the gym at 8 p.m. on June 11th to discover that I hadn't been properly scheduled. I was scheduled to work with one of the mangers for the personal trainers. He was infuriated to say the least. He had moved beyond that now, I was informed. I gathered they had marked me down as not a client but a potential client there to receive that complimentary workout and personal training assessment you first receive when joining with Fitness Connection. He gave me a quick work out and wrote me up a plan for the week, and then scheduled me the following Wednesday with someone named Chris. Okay, whatever. Unfortunately, I had to re-schedule that appointment due to a death in the family. I couldn't go the training session because I was going to be out of town for the funeral. Interesting factoid, when I called to reschedule with Chris there was no mention of me on the books. They had no idea what I was talking about because I was NOT scheduled for any personal training session with anyone. They promised to have the head manager, Ivan, call me back. Which never happened. And I let it go until June 22th. I had bigger fish to fry then trying to get into the gym at that point. But by June 22th I was ready to return to the gym. Once again, Ivan promised to return my phone call when he wasn't so busy but never did. So I called again on Monday, June 25th, which was a total nightmare. I spent 5 minutes on hold while he figured out how to even spell his name or something. I really have no idea how hard it can be to schedule someone. Then he came back on the line and said he was getting me scheduled. Another five minutes later a receptionist for Fitness Connection came on the line and wanted to know my reason for calling and how she could assist me. The mind boggled at that point. But, with her help I was scheduled to workout with Ivan the following night at 8 p.m. Of course that didn't work out. Ivan no longer worked there by the following night. Furthermore, I was once again improperly scheduled. They had me down as someone to received my complimentary training, not a real "you are spending $45 on this session" workout. And as such, they had no one for me. But the new manager, Malik, promised he would find me a personal trainer for that night. He asked that I warm up on the eliptical for 10-15 minutes while he found someone for me. 32 minutes I was infuriated and marched over to Malik. I told him to reschedule me but if this happened again I expected a full refund. Malik swore up and down this wouldn't happen again. He put me in his book as the 2nd person to call the following morning. In fact, I could look for his call at around noon. By 4:30 p.m. the following day, I had yet to hear from him of course. So, I called and his excuse was that he was still trying to find me a personal trainer. But, he was working on it and I could expect to hear from him by the end of the day. I called at 9:37 pm., infuriated. Turned out he had left at 8 p.m. It's now July 4th, 2012 and I still haven't had my first session with these bozos. They're from hell. Avoid!
