My wife was hurt in an automobile accident, I asked Pure Fitness to suspend her membership while she was healing from the accident, neck surgery & back surgery. They stated they needed a Doctor's excuse (statement) for her account to be suspended plus they wanted the letter certified mail to assure they received the letter. They also stated I needed to drive down and pick up the form, when asked if it could be emailed they also stated they could not email it. After arguing that this was totally stupid they conceded they would take the letter by fax from the Doctor's office. We complied and it was never confirmed by them and today they extracted money from our account. I have called them and they have not returned the call.
This is one of the best membership fees I have ever paid for in my whole life without having to sacrifice for cleanness and quality of equipment. The facility is what you would experience at any of the top fitness clubs. Great experience overall!!!
Best gym ever, for what it is! Always so clean and a very protective staff. Happy to have gone - one of the best places on earth; I hope some of my good energy rubbed off on someone, because you definitely affected me for the best. :) Some criticism I could offer is perhaps allow certain staff members flexibility to teach non-traditional classes and call them such. I'll be back when my treadmill 'craps out.' :)
I am posting this for my daughter...I have been a member for over 3yrs. Every fall I put my membership on hold, as I have done each year around the holidays and after summer, when I went back to college (a long way away). I provided you all the information you requested in the past, including proof of being in school a long way away. This year I found out your company kept charging my CC for the full monthly fee when in the past I was only charges $8.00 for the hold. When my father, at my instruction called "corporate" to see why, Shauna said "executive management did not approve the hold". He told them that I had done this every year since being a member with no issues and that while I was a happy customer, I will now have to cancel. The woman on the phone – Shauna, he thinks, was OK with that. She didn’t seem to care that they would lose a happy customer over a change in process that they – 1) neither notified us no longer existed 2) did not communicate they would not be accepting it this year. In fact when he went to the location originally to question the charge, the manager there remembered I always did the school hold.
Overall good experience. Flo was exceptionally nice. Like all the nutritional aids at your finger tips. Clean! Child care is good. Machines in good working order. And like class selection. So far nothing negative to report.
