I liked the place when I first signed up, guess like everywhere else makes you feel good then all the truth starts showing. First what I dont like: Contract - if you have multi- members in your family dont like that they dont link account contracts and payments together Contract Date Change- well i was told that I could have the date changed anytime I wanted to what ever date would be ok with me.. YES NOT TRUE: called the number that they give you to do this and they tell me that the Fitness Club has a 5 day only change date, that means that you can only move your date with in 5 days of the original date, this was not discussed with me AT ALL. The yearly maintenance fee you can not change that date at all, again i was told you could change it. Per ABC Finance, they MUST make a note on your contract for anything more than 5 days. Its been the biggest head ache trying to get a MANAGER TO OWNER TO CALL ME BACK TO HELP ME FIX THIS ISSUE, BUT FUNNY HOW WHEN I CALL AND I HAVE 3 TIMES THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN HELP ME AND NO CORP. OFFICE CAUSE THEY ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED. WATCH FOR THIS ISSUE.
The bad customer service made the whole experience bad. This is the worst #gym I've ever been to. Why you ask? The customer service. Everyone at the front desk was #rude. This was my first time and last time there. I had to take picture for the 1 week free and I said "oh man, not like this." In a extremely rude tone "you want to come another day!" (What he didn't know is that I was starting my review on Yelp while he was being rude.)If I had of drove, I would have told him "NEVER" and left. This made everything else a terrible experience. The Google reviews were right this time and not yelp. Apparently, this Kerry or Carey and his night crew has been there awhile being rude. Customer service is key in a business. This company will not get my money, and the zumba class was wack!
For this price you can't really find a comparison. I've been going to the gym for two weeks now its nice. I haven't had a reason to complain. They have a variety of equipment for Weight training and Cardio . The Sauna is nice i like to use it after a good work out session.
Went in with my son and wife to check out the gym. They put a flyer out stating come in for a 7 day free pass. The front desk guy ask me where the pass was and I said it was hanging on the board I saw it on. He said I needed the pass???? How stupid can you be?? You have three possible customers and you turn them away? I will stick with 24hr fitness even if I have to pay more.
Do not come here. The manager, Kerry McHugh, is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. My sister was told on the phone that she could bring me for ONE free workout so that I could decide if I wanted a membership. When we got there, he wouldn't even let us talk. There was a man behind him, who I thought was the manager, that said it was fine and to go ahead but McHugh said I couldn't come in without my ID. What's worse, you could hear McHugh and the man behind him LAUGHING when we walked away. After going ALL the way back home for my ID and coming back...we were treated even worse than before! McHugh informed me I actually couldn't come in because "this isn't a free gym" and "it would be like going to red lobster and getting a free meal"? I go to school in Denton and am only home for a month so I OFFERED to pay membership for the month but he said NO because I had to get "the full membership." By that time, we were insulted and genuinely shocked by how aggressively he was speaking to customers. Even more so, he demanded to know the name of the person we talked to on the phone so he could fire them and kept interrupting us to yell "Who's they? You keep saying they" every time we tried to explain that we didn't get their name. Finally, he told us we should just go to another gym and practically shoved the cancellation slip to my sister after she requested it. I am truly shocked that this man is allowed to be the manager of this gym with how blatantly rude he was and I see from other reviews that this is a reoccurring problem. I only wish that there was an official corporate office I could complain to but they don't even have that.
