Gold's Gym

Friendly staff. Despite renovations several years ago, the lockers are broken, showers don't work, and trash can is over filled. The basketball court is usually slippery, and it takes a long time to tighten a loose rim or replace a net. Water still drips onto the court after 10 years! It's the only gym with a basketball court on the Southside with convenient hours. It's way past time for Gold's to build a new facility, such as the ones on the Northside. The very least that they can do is add bicycle racks .
Aside from the dumbbells being scattered, I have not had serious issues with the gym or its employees. They are not the most talkative but they do help when asked and the busiest times are from 5-8 aside from the that the gym is still roomy enough during peak hours. Cleanliness I can understand with this gym is not on the employees but mainly the gym goers themselves, in and out and a lot tend not to pick up after themselves. Ive been going for almost 6 months now. They have change much of thier staff and still have had little issues other than some gym goers
wallet stolen like a few others i've spoken to. police know about it, i'm sure management know about it, but nobody does anything. weights never reracked
Husband just had his wallet stolen out of the locker tonight. Lockers are typically in disrepair and easily jimmied open even when lock is applied. I know of several others this has happened to at this location and have been told by law enforcement that they get these types of calls from this location on nearly a daily basis. Seems to me that if this is an on-going problem that management might want to take precautionary measures. Going to cancel our membership tomorrow. This ongoing issue tells me that Management seems to be very unconcerned about the care and prevention of theft at this location.
Not bad if you're into traditional bodybuilding. Just wish they would get some Olympic weightlifting platforms and bumper plates. And they need to perform some maintenance on those rusty Concept2 Row Machines.
