The best! Always clean and so spacious! I'd like to work there!
One of the WORST gyms i've ever been to. The equipment is crammed in, there's no room to walk between machines without bumping into other machines. The free weight area is waaaaay too small and again too much equipment crammed into a very small space. The trainers are like leeches; they constantly hound you sign up to train with them. When equipment breaks, it takes weeks and weeks before they fix it. There's been a water fountain that's been broken for about a month now. Nobody wipes down the benches when they're finished mainly because there's only about 2 or 3 cleaning stations for the entire gym. Basically, for the money you can go to the Y or to Gold's and get a better experience.
Love this place! Amazing staff and great workout atmosphere :)
I love this location for the staff. Sure the big new shiny location is a plus, but that doesn't really make me chose one location over another. What makes me go to this gym is the fact that the staff here are warm and welcoming. They work hard to know your name and have fun with you in the classes. It makes this place somewhere I look forward to going to after work. The only con I would say is their prices; they're higher than some gyms. Sure if you just wanna waste your money on a cheap membership to somewhere thats simply a building with machines in it go for it. You might as well save your money and just go for a run at a local park. American Family earned its name being just that; a family.
this place is terrible, all they want to do is add on money to your contract. but a smoothie, buy a smoothie, buy a smoothie is all I hear. constantly saying they will raise my dues unless I sign a long term contract. And the $15 join fee is a joke since they charge you $50 up front as a maintenance fee. They claim this is so they can buy new equipment, but every other gym does this anyway with out that fee. So basically it is the same as a joining fee for any other place. I'm so happy I left and went to their competitor on the corner of woolridge and coalfield. Its is much nicer and the staff is super friendly. Plus they don't try to sell me on everything and anything.
