The Gym on Pearl
Reviews
I contacted the owner in reference to the 14 day free trial thats advertised on their website and a large banner outside their building. Over the phone he agreed to letting me start a 14 day free trial and that i should come in. It took me around 30 minutes to drive there as instructed. From the moment I walked in the building he immediately asked me my age (25) on arrival and then refused me the trial. He claimed they had run out even though I spoke to him on the phone only half an hour before. It was clearly a lie in which not only did he waste my time but also implied I wasn’t mature enough for his gym. I consider the establishment to be very unprofessional and misleading, bearing false promises. If you are a young professional I would avoid this gym as they seem to think its acceptable to discriminate on the basis of age even at 25. The gym also has a very poor free weights section with only a smith machine and some dumbbells (there's no bench and no squat rack). It’s really not worth spending money with establishments that break agreements and falsely advertise. If you want a gym that's honest, welcoming and doesn't pass judgment on arrival it would be ill advised to come here.
