I had been a Planet Fitness customer for more than 3 years now ,all works good so far for me, staff,equipment and location.So I convinced my wife to leave her expensive Gym and try Planet Fitness.So in the middle of November , 3 days before my membership expires; I did renew my year membership paying the one time $199 fee and she started hers the same way of pay. Then a couple of weeks later we both received an offer to join for $99 a year . When my wife asked the manager on duty at Benson's about it she said they can not honor that offer because we already have paid! That email was sent to both of us , there is no rules or fine printing that said we can not use it. Planet Fitness if you are not going to honor an offer that you emailed why you have sent that ? We feel that this is a kick in the butt for a loyal customer and really make me think that this will be my last year with you and go somewhere else ! I feel so frustrated!

. I was in Anchorage Alaska roughly a year ago. I stayed in an Embassy Suites directly next door to a planet fitness. I did a one month membership and cancelled before I left. I have since been charges a monthly fee of 10 for the past year for a gym that is in Anchorage Alaska. The manager is incredibly unprofessional and told me they don't have a customer service number on your website because planet fitness does not want to be contacted. She then refused to give me contact info to any of her superiors. She is asking me to produce a cancellation contract from over a year ago that I do not have and insisting that I am a current member.

This is sadly the first review i've ever written, I'm doing so because it's a waste of money. The facility in south Anchorage is over crowed to the point it has to be at capacity 24/7,the staff are rude and discurdious & the noise is untolerable.I ended my membership after one month because you couldn't use the equipment at all I have been a member of Planet fitness in their other locations and loved the experience and the attitude of the staff they were a gym for every one as thier slogan say's but in Alaska it's the new Powerhouse for the body builders looking for cheap memberships.
