The Alaska Club Summit

Warning - DO NOT SIGN ANY ALASKA CLUB DOCUMENTS - Misleading, Deceptive, Non Disclosed Fees, Complex and Difficult Cancellation Process, Potentially Hazardous to credit/collections actions if not super SAVY and they will actually pester you at place of employment and even more unbelievable is the fact they make less than zero attempt to compromise or satisfy customer complaints. Customer Service 101 "The customer is ALWAYS right" " One Satisfied Customer Will Produce Ten More" As for service I received was a bunch of statements and calls for $244 and I never spent 1 minute inside club, aside from the 10 minutes to pay the bill which required two visit, as I had to go home to get the statement as the "System" showed no balance......
I have been a member for almost 2 years and all that time payed for a personal trainer. Finally met my goals and tried to cancel. They stated that they were sad to see me go and said they canceled. Next billing sure enough there was another month added plus late fees. Called back in again, again they said they would take care of it. Next billing sure enough its there again and another month tagged on plus fees. I appealed to them to remove it. They stated that they will have to take it to upper management who then stated they will not remove it and I must write them a letter to cancel the account and then I was obligated for even another month of bills. I did this but they seemed to tag on even more charges. All said and done it took me three months to close this and $800 to close this. Stay away from the Alaska Club. Very dishonorable, very criminal if you ask me and total horse you know what. WARNING, THEY WILL NOT CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT UNLESS YOU WRITE IN AND BE EXACT TO THE CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CLOSURE. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE
The Summit is way over priced for the offering. The locker room is way underbuilt for the amount of people using it. Between the gay members and the younger members that are allowed to use ipods and cell phones in the steamer and hot tub rooms, it's really not worth the cost. I found the club to be frustrating on may levels in regards to the members. The staff is nice though. I would have to not recommend the club for this kind of price.
Best of all the Alaska Clubs, and you pay for it. Towels, Lemon water and fresh coffee always available. Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and showers well maintained and cleaned. Shared use of the Saltwater pool with the South Club. Had been using the "Alaska Club - West" but fell in love with the better facilities and clientele at the Summit.
AWFUL!!!! this place is absolutely awful to military families! will not let me cancel! mountain view and eagle river facilities were both dumps! i felt like i would get tetnus on the machines! do not go to the ALASKA CLUB!!!!!
