My husband and I went to Lindburgers in Boynton Beach, FL located at 1709 N. Congress on Friday, May 8, 2009 around 6:30 p.m. Our visit was very disturbing after we were seated at our table. We requested a booth so we were willing to wait a little longer. The nightmare began once we were seated. We had been sitting waiting for awhile for our waitress to come over and ask us what is usually customary, what we would like to drink (that never happened). My husband and I noticed a waitress that was helping everyone around us but totally ignored us. Finally, one of the bus boys came and asked us what we would like to drink and I asked him was there a problem why our waitress would not wait on us? He said, she was mad about something and he did not know why she would not wait on us. Within minutes the manager came over and started taking our order and I asked him was there a problem? He stated, that he had two arguments earlier with this same waitress about the way she was handling customers and I told him she had walked past our table at least five times and even looked at me and never even acknowledged that we were there. The manager said he knew that she was not taking our order and he was firing her after this final incident with us today. Well, you would think that our order would have gone right in since the manager put it in and this did not happen. We sat there an additional half hour to forty-five minutes before I told my husband I was ready to leave. We got the managers attention and he said, oh I will check on your order, so we waited for a few minutes more and he never came back so we walked out. That was such a terrible experience when you are blatantly ignored for no reason (on our part anyway). I would hate to think in this day and age that we were completely ignored by this waitress, because my husband is a white man and I am a black woman. There are so many other restaurants in the area and we will never enter that establishment!
I have had the same problem as Jeremy. Today I was out with the wife, and we stopped at Lindburgers just before noon time for lunch. There was no one there, and they say hours begin at 11 on Saturdays. This is not an isolated instance, I wanted to get take out a few months ago on a Sunday afternoon. We called around 1145-1200 and no one answered the phone. Being reliably open for your customers is critical if you want to keep them coming back.
No doubt they have one of the best burger menus and the food quality is excellent, the problem is that their hours are unpredictable. Sometimes they are closed for no reason, I don't know who is running this location but it won't be open for long if they don't get their act together.
