Stinks! This gym is stuck in the 80's with old equipment, old carpetting, & old fixtures and is in sore need of an update. I had to leave this gym because it smells so bad although it is the closest to where I work. The headphone jacks don't work on the cardio machines and the equipment squeaks and has sweat and rust stains. I recommend going to Lifestyles off Swann in South Tampa and off Gunn Hwy which are way nicer and cleaner! LA Fitness and Powerhouse Gym are also nicer alternatives although they are far away from this area.

I was almost turned away form this gym due to the reveiws, but because of the convenience I figured I'd check it out and Im happy I did. New GM is there and may be why the place is cleaner than what others were seeing, but place is clean, staff is friendly, and it serves my purpose. Havent taken any classes yet so I cant speak on that, but they have a great selection of weights and machines. I asked about canceling, since I saw these ratings and they said you jsut have to give 60 days notice for them to stop billing. Overall I am happy with the gym so far and just wanted to make sure I added an updated comment. As I said, go in and check it out if it is a place that you are interested in.

I have been a member of this gym for seven years, and continue to go only because there is nothing better. This gym suffers from years of neglect and poor management. Issues I have found include but are not limited to the following: -Broken / malfunctioning cardio equipment. -The audio system hooked to cardio machines doesn't work properly. It cuts in and out and only works on a few of the channels. -There is dried sweat droplets on most of the machines that is several weeks old. -The cup holders have grime in them that is older than some of the children in the kids club. -There are some really creepy guys that just gawk at the women, it's unnerving for me even as a guy, I know the ladies have to be miserable. While the clientelle is not controllable, some of the personal trainers are like this as well and that's something that could be dealt with. -Their tanning beds are very low quality, and are a complete waste of time / money. Try Soho tan up on racetrack and Tampa Rd. The beds are 100x better. The nice thing about this gym that keeps me coming back is that there is a wide range of equipment to use, and it's much better than anything else in the area. The people at the front desk are generally cheerful and helpful. This wouldn't be a bad gym if they took care of it, but if you can get by using something else I would highly recommend it.

Don't believe the month to month BS, this gym will steal your money, the people running this company are not right, they have no morals, they don't let you cancel. Unfortunately all we can do is leave them a bad review. Go to anytime fitness
