Friendly Staff Great place to work out
You get what you pay for. This gym is only $10/month and no contract. There is a $40 sign up fee, but still, it's VERY affordable. So, if you're looking for a cheap gym with a good amount of equipment, this place is a definite steal. However, despite being under new ownership and management, this place hasn't been remodeled. Some of the equipment needs maintenance/upgrading. The cardio machines frequently don't have working satellite channels on them. The class instructors often are late or don't show up on time. Do you plan to tan there? Well, as of three weeks ago they made a new policy that you must be a VIP member to tan. No big deal, just an extra 10 bucks a month, which still makes the gym and tanning very affordable. But only a few of the employees enforce this new policy, so some members are still tanning for free! Not fair for those of us who are paying to tan! The employees are so flaky and unorganized. Also, don't make us pay extra to tan if you're not gonna clean the beds or the rooms with the beds in them. The floor looks DISGUSTING and like something might be growing on it! The entire facility could use an extra cleaning or wipe over. I douse myself in hand sanitizer upon leaving the building. So, like I said, you get what you pay for.But it's not a bad gym if you just want a machine to work out on.
I joined this gym recently and it's a great gym for the price. 10 bucks a month and it's open longer hours than the nearest similar gym, which happens to be Max. the biggest complaint I have is that it hasn't been under new management long enough for them to really make the changes they want to make to the property/interior itself. but that's basically because they were starting from scratch after the previous owner ran it into the ground. Anyway, great equipment for 10/'month is a steal, and they've got friendly help too
Horrible business practices, Dirty, out-dated, machines. Would never recommend to anyone. You think you'r getting a deal, but your not.
Under new ownership and management. It's now Definitions at Southgate. It's $10/month no contract with at $40 signup fee, which is incredibly cheap. You also get unlimited tanning and classes. I know they have Fit Body Boot Camp and Zumba, if you're into classes. 10 bucks a month for unlimited tanning? That's a deal. It's usually pretty empty, everything is clean, and you don't have to wait for a machine. The staff is ok, nothing special, and I do wish they were open 24 hours. It's kind of annoying that they close at 6 on Saturdays, but they do open early in the morning. Give 'em a try -- they're not what they used to be.
