CrossFit is designed to be accessible to everyone 9-90 but not all CrossFit boxes understand this. Will and Abby however, have built there business model around this base concept. A safety first, scalable approach tailored to each individual athlete is the beginning, middle and end game of the program. I appreciate this approach having trained all my life in many environments including other CrossFit programs, that did not employ this philosophy. If you are interested in achieving and maintaining functional, applicable fitness that you can use in life and sport, what ever that may mean to you, I urge you to check out Huron River CrossFit. Go visit Will and Abby for a informal chat and see what you think. CrossFit can be for everyone if your goals can be understood. Will and Abby take the time to understand your goals and then work to help you achieve them.

Joining the CrossFit community has, most likely, been the most important decision I have made in the last several years of my life. I, according to myself, am a fairly introverted person and sometimes have a problem acclimating to social environments and being surrounded by people that I am unfamiliar with. The most impressive thing about Huron River CrossFit is the fact that, even with my reluctance to commit to a social activity, I have felt as if I had no reason to feel any apprehension whatsoever since day one! Not to mention the fact that the Owners (and coaches, colleagues, conversation partners, etc.,) Will and Abby are very knowledgeable and train appropriately - whether you're a long-time athlete or someone new to physical exercise or mending old wounds - you will be well taken care of, and be able to participate with every other person in the group. They keep it very real the entire time and don't mess around on the technical stuff, but keep it fun and light when there is room for air. The other amazing aspect of HRCF is that every other person who trains there is very positive and uplifting - even after a grueling workout the high fives seem to never end. The community is definitely set to grow into a highly interconnected group of awesome people trying to help themselves and everyone around them grow and meet their goals. If you have a chance to check it out, you'll be happy you did. I signed up and had weeks of anticipation and have not looked back once.

I liked their approach to CrossFit and overall health/wellness so much that I signed up for a year contract after my first visit. I'm now 3 months in and couldn't be happier. The small class sizes make every visit feel like personal training and their focus on proper technique, safety and doing things optimally have already yielded noticeable results in my strength, energy and overall mood. The community of members is diverse, friendly and motivating. I'm so glad this place is here.

Being new to CrossFit, and having no concept of what it would be like, I was immediately struck by the sense of community and their personalized approach to an individual's skill level and focus on correct form. The wide variety of ages and skill levels to the comradery you get from all members and trainers makes each session a positive and uplifting experience. Each WOD is different than the last; you will never be bored by the same routine with their holistic approach to fitness and wellness.

Huron River CrossFit is an amazing place! Unlike many gyms, the culture at HRCF focuses not only on improving your performance in the gym, but also lifestyle changes that will help you become healthier and fitter. I have been a member of four different CrossFit gyms (and visited several more), and as a result have been exposed to a variety of training environments. HRCF sets itself apart for a few reasons. There is a major emphasis on quality of movement, nutrition, and community. It's an awesome combination that leads to success. The coaching staff is experienced and supportive, and they know how to get results. Not to mention the programming is smart and highly effective! I'm very happy with the progress I've made so far, and excited to see where I can go as a member of HRCF. I'm honored to be a part of such a cool community!
