Whenever I come to the Buffalo area I try to use Fitness Factory in Lancaster.
Its located in the old "Murphys" building, which brings back childhood memories, but the gym itself has great new equipment.
I particularly like the electric inversion table.
It allows you to hang by your ankles and is GREAT for my back!
The staff is full of characters esp. the owner who will talk politics, sports and current events at the drop of the hat. (A salty personality who is fun to spar with because he's also very sharp!) Also noted was the front desk man "David" who was also very smart, charming and handsome.
The locker room is never crowded. The sauna (located in the locker room) is always clean. as are the showers etc.
In the late afternoon there are plenty of high school seniors and college aged guys to keep you on your toes. (Whenever I see them I always remember to NOT skip my ab work. Lol)
-Don't let them scare you off, everyone is well mannered.
F. F. is inexpensive as health clubs go...
It's a bright, open, basic club with interesting extras.
It's worth getting a day pass and trying it out.
